Hey guys an gals

I have a amsoil bypass filter set up with the dual remote filters.

I am in a pinch for time and want to buy a different brand filter for the

SDF 26

It is a big one. I don't have time to order one from amsoil and I let my membership expire.

I just want to start running a Napa or generic brand filter and keep my 1 micron bypass set up. I think Amsoil made the fitting different so you have to buy there filter but I am not sure and don't want to take off the old one and take it to some supply house and ask them to match up something to an old dirty filter ya know.

Just need to find out if anybody uses a different filter on that side of the bypass plate so I can use it to cross reference.

Sorry to make this more difficult than it is.

Well to answer my own question.

I was able to find a counterman to cross reference one for me.

The Fram Number witch I would not recoment was PH977A

I was finaly able to locate something at a Car qwest, it was there brand but made by Wix

HTML:
PH977A

I think that's a pretty common filter. My old (ex) Perkins diesel (T6. 354) used that number as I recall, and that was the 1 quart size. Ford used the same filter connection size on their older V-8s but they are 1/2 qt. So there should be tons of crossover numbers for just about any brand filter you want.
