Yeah these can pretty basic but figure would share the '22 never know what comes of the thread.

Ordered May 2022, arrived yesterday. Ready for pick up today. So let's call it 5 months.

Got to order exactly what I wanted at the time. And added some stuff that I think if I needed to sell could help in the resale department.

Figure this is going to be a keeper so I tossed some money down on it to keep my payments less expensive. None of these are cheap, but they are pretty nice. Having an '18 kinda know what I'm in for for the interior features.

Coming from an '18 Tradesman 2500 6.4 Gasser still have it for now, for what I used it for is a super capable rig, it's a great truck.

Biggest trailer I have is a 13.8k GVW 24' Deckover, combined maybe was 17k with the 2500, it pulled OK, pretty high RPMs at times since it is a 4.10 rear truck. 66RFE did OK for me.

So will see what we do with this one.

Don't have all the cool stuff yet for this one.

Need some steps probably first order of business and backing up tonight it's pretty dark so might look at some back up lights.

Here are some of the basics and extras, nothing too crazy on here. But I'm happy no buyers remorse on the thing.

Nice ride.. Any trouble with the MEGA and towing? I have all gooseneck trailers and I will be looking at a MEGA cab this Friday, but not sure about my trailers..

Im thinking about ordering one as I dislike the sunroof I have, just cant seem to make the numbers meet.

Do you know if your truck has the cargo/trailer spotter lights? I've had my truck almost a year and just discovered this. If you turn on the cargo light (the bottom button on the headlight dial), and put the truck in reverse, a very bright light in each outside mirror comes on shining toward the back of the truck.

In terms of the trailer hitting the cab? Same as any shortbed, Ive hauled quite a few without issue just gotta keep an eye on the trailer to cab clearance on sharp turns.

It does reduce the max capacity on the tables but who uses those anyway, follow the tire rating and will be good. Can't be worse then my lift gate on my 2500.

But zero experience thanks @AEdelheit , good info.

Mega cab rear seats are a little funky, could be I missed a box, there is a odd bracket deal not like my Tradesman and no under seat storage, there is storage behind the seat as expected, I can't tell if I gained any leg room in the back guess need to physically measure it all out.

For all I know its a scam on the Mega not sure yet.

i have a 5yr old and 3yr old so I wanted the most cab room I could get for stuff.

None of my current trailers would be an issue with the Mega for sure.

I do not, I call them fancy Tradesman mirrors. They have the blinkers but that's it in them, same old mirrors, which again I'm good with coming from a Tradesman, I like them, I barely ever run them in tow mode most of my stuff is flat and can see fine, but I have used Tow configuration.

The what looks like new for '23 mirrors I don't think I would pick if given the choice.

But it sounds like a great feature.

When I was backing it up, I had to navigate around the kids toys and sort in the driveway and around my enclosed trailer, camera was just really dark hard to see, who knows if it was just the odd lighting of the house and the sort. Will see, obviously with a trailer the camera is kinda useless, this was just plain backing up in this exact case.

Thanks for the replies on nice ride...

My understanding with the megacabs was that leg room was the same, but you gain the ability to recline the rear seats some....and of course behind the seat storage. That was my understanding anyway, obviously, worth verifying.

Yes, that is what I assume is true and why I want to verify with actual measurements. Unlike the 3rd gens, from what I can see online looks like the seat position is same.. I'll report back when I have data.

Here are some shots of the seats, different then the "18 for sure. There is room for storage just not boxed in like the '18 is.

So today I put the car seats in before I picked up my daughter, she is 5, my son is 3, mission accomplished they love it, put them right to sleep on the way home. Need some shades for the window. We actually took a ride jumped on the highway, trying to get my 500 miles in, think I'm at 150 since yesterday. (Phone focal deal is at .6 to get the wide view, and was at red light in park taking this pic.)

I guess I really need to get some seat covers, did not last 2hr till its was a Goldfish massacre! I personally think it's great, I have a battery powered Milwaukee vacuum will clean it right up. But they are all moved in.

Paint correction and ceramic coat all scheduled up for 10/31, takes a few days, place has done quite a few of my friends stuff and did just ceramic on that 1500, it's neat stuff.

There is blue wax crayon all over the truck, all over the bed rails, on the bumper, pretty much like 10 spots, not sure what's that all about.

I originally asked the dealer to do zero prep and leave all plastic on everywhere and do not wash it. Good luck the first pics I got were no plastic and they washed it.

Not a show stopper, they will sort it out. I'm not usually allowed to have shiny trucks so any help I can get with paint protection technology the better.

Need to seriously look at some sort of protectant for the frame and undercarriage, there are alot of areas I can tell will become science projects quickly.

I heard Fluid Film now has a black, really need to pull the trigger on something.

I don't know of any local shops that do it near me. I tried to talk the local LineX folks into doing it they were on the fence, they never got set up.

@Timd32, Look at getting the film the cuts the UV for sure! I had the front doors and windshield done with that and its the clear type that doesn't even look like it's got tint. Cut down on the heat without it being dark at night. For your back, if NJ allows it, get a darker shade to protect that cargo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like you'll have the room that you were looking for. You could have the seats sprayed with fabric protector. Castle products used to have a product called Duck's Back fabric protector. it was in spray cans and was the bomb!!! Maybe something close to that is still available. I had done a truck years ago with it and it really helped keep the seats clean. Seat protectors might also be needed for those muddy times to come with sports and outdoor activities. Pack that cordless vacuum every trip!
Found it, they still make it,https://www.castlepackspower.com/index.cfm?Page=Castle Ducks Back

Oh I remember those days.... I did the UV film on the front windows to match the rears.. I like it and no hot seat / arm... I think am going to get the sunroof UV coated if I keep it because it gets soo hot up there.
