Torque Test on 2022 2500 Aluminum Driveshaft

Same here, had some evidence on the battery blanket on pass side. Side note, has anyone else have trouble with the hood pad staying on? Mine will not stay in the middle tab, every time I open the hood its laying on the valve cover.. Dealer would not warranty it, and said they would "see how to keep it up" which is Latin for a monkey drilling holes and messing something up royally. Not sure what to do here, but was thinking about those plastic rivets that hold the splash gourds on, or the under hood covers...
I just noticed that but at the same time never noticed that before like it just started. My '22 1500 has a nicer molded hood pad on the underside, it's more plastic, no fuzzy stuff for them to eat.

I'd advise against putting bait in your truck unless you want an infestation. The bait takes a few days before the mice/rats will start having blood or stomach issues.

In other words, putting bait (food) down will only lure more to mess with your truck.

I recommend a repellent:

I get that, and won't do it then, I was thinking that because I have the bait boxes but what you say does make sense.

I use spearmint oil from a sprayer around the tires on the pickup, under the hood in their favorite areas, esp. on the battery blankets and driver front of the head area, and some electronic traps in the area.
I have that spray in a gallon jug can shoot that for sure, pretty easy to do that.

Here is my 2018 gasser. Has outward tabs for hood insulation.

My 22 relies on the insulation itself to stay in place. Which it won't.

yeah, that is a much more robust design, I think I may make a small alum tab that I can bond to the material to reinforce it in that area,.. I didn't last a year before it dropped.

Oil changed and filters changed 26,029, 11 months after last one. Right about 10k miles for the 11 months.

So doing better on my scheduled service not to time out.

Lived inside for most of the winter, but have put about 500 miles on it since Saturday so it's gotten some exercise.

She needs a bath, but it made a new friend, this is a 8.5x20, the smaller 7.5x14 was too small and the 8.5x24 Deckover is a beast.

So when the time comes those trailers will likely head down the road after a good spring cleaning of each.

I was offered a John Deer 300B Back Hoe, think its a 1979 model, I don't think the tall deck over is an awesome idea for that kind of equipment, most stuff I see is low to the ground, not sure if anyone has input on that. Would like to move it about 30 miles to where it needs to be, but not going to do so if that's super sketchy.

Truck is running well, still lives alot of its life in regen, oh well, even loaded it's just not enough load for this big of a truck.

My driveway is about 450' has a slightly hill and I have to back my larger trailers up it, this new one is a little different then the others or I'm just used to them, but I got it done, no pro by any means but it's really sensitive to input on correction, not sure the Mega Cab was the best choice, but we enjoy the extra room that's for sure.

These are those fancy tires.... they will work for the summer, just not what I wanted but will live with it.

The one thing I discussed with the Trailer place was the type of plug on it ,is not what Ram recommends, they have been in business alot time, this is my 5th trailer I've gotten from them and they never heard about that problem before and did not carry the cord with the trailer sode having flat blades. I can probably purchase one and swap over the harness.

My first trailer with back up lights in reverse, has some orange wig wags that you can manually turn on, some neat features, seems to be a decent trailer from what I have had before, it has better centers under the floor, some nice finishes with out breaking the bank.

I do need to figure a camera even if it pairs with my phone, I did not opt for the ultimate trailer package on this rig with tire pressure monitor and cameras.

I should try to add that stuff it's nice to have for sure.

Here is that plug deal.

You'll want to get a POLLAK 12-706 Plastic Blade Style 7-Way Plug. I had to swap mine when I got my EcoD because it wasn't making a good connection with the double blade.

Coincidentally it fits my truck's other plug better too. Win-win.

Any idea what the backhoe weighs? It appears to be about 10.5k. I wouldn't worry about the deck over part as long as it has the capacity to carry the load.

Nice box trailer, what is the GVWR? Do you find the mirrors not wide enough to see very well around 8.6? I think you have the slide out type, so maybe better than the fold up type I have.

I feel that 9k-10k is where it will land, the Deck Over is rated 13.8k, I feel it's 4k empty, so its right there by the numbers. We know how the numbers go.

No highway stuff which is worse at times on the stop and go, but no roads over posted 50mph, so will be a slow go.

On the enclosed, I actually don't run my tow mirrors too often, they are the flip up. I had great visibility on the drivers, the passenger could have used the tow mirror to back in the driveway.

I never really figured out the view on the tow mirrors it's distracting for me.

But I feel I will need them with the enclosed.

The 8.5 deckover never had a visibility issue not running them flipped up.
