Torque Test on 2022 2500 Aluminum Driveshaft

Grease arrived, looks like pretty nice stuff.

Plan is to use this on my '48 as well, probably not good to mix these with the normal #2 they used for that build, any known adverse effects mixing this with standard #2 Chassis grease?

So the results are in.........

But first here is the Genos guide to filters they posted, with the disclaimer these folks doing this are getting better and better so this is not the end all to be all.

Per that guideline and what I see in front of me this exact Amazon Fliter is............ a legit filter.... your results may vary and if you only have one filter to compare too, it would be hard.

Not being a cost issue I feel I will stick with Geno's, it was a time deal here for me for not planning ahead.

Good news Dealers have these they just cost alot more. I will install the Dealer one since it's physically older then the Amazon one.

Here are some pics the only difference the Amazon bag had a Green Dot on the outside of the filter on the plastic.

Geno's had a backorder date of 4-30 for this filter, now it is delayed to 5-24. That number, 68436631AA appears to no longer be a good number. That number won't work on most Mopar web sites. I did find one that still shows it, so I ordered two. Not sure what I will get or when.

The new number appears to be 68358393AB, and has doubled in price. I will buy a Baldwin before I pay $115 for Mopar.

For some reason when you do a search by vehicle, the filter doesn't appear to be available, just the whole canister. I assume that is why it is so expensive. Can anyone figure this out?

On the last link I posted, when you scroll down to the primary filter, it don't show #2, the filter. Just #1 the complete assembly.

The dealer picked mine right off the shelf, so they are out there.

I think it was $96 from the dealer out the door.

Do you know that the filters pre ordered that were scheduled for 4-30 are pushed to 5-24 or are new orders only pushed to that later date.

I will have spares so if you need one and I get one your welcome to it, I can call them and have them move one of mine to you. LMK.

If it's just new orders pushed to 5-24 that's about where they were when I ordered call it 6 weeks ARO.

Thanks Tim, I think I will be fine, but something is going on with that number. Maybe because they are on backorder from several dealers, the only way to get them is buy the complete canister.

I am not sure on the date change for Geno's, I have had them on order quite awhile and notice the date changed.

What's wrong with ordering it this way?

Most of us don't need the housing.

That would be fine but they are on backorder. When I saw the new backorder date I started looking. I found them on here:

Right, who wants to buy the housing. Did you do any research on the #68436631AA, Mopar parts don't seem to have it. So I am unsure of what is going on.

It's likely the same filter backlog that's been going on for a couple years and why I always keep a set on the shelf.

Interesting, have some mice activity in the late spring early summer.

I popped the hood to check the Antifeeeze level after Terry's post. Because I never check it really. And it's spot on.

But looks like they got some of the battery blankets and the under hood pad.

Will toss some bait block under there most likely.

Same here, had some evidence on the battery blanket on pass side. Side note, has anyone else have trouble with the hood pad staying on? Mine will not stay in the middle tab, every time I open the hood its laying on the valve cover.. Dealer would not warranty it, and said they would "see how to keep it up" which is Latin for a monkey drilling holes and messing something up royally. Not sure what to do here, but was thinking about those plastic rivets that hold the splash gourds on, or the under hood covers...

I'd advise against putting bait in your truck unless you want an infestation. The bait takes a few days before the mice/rats will start having blood or stomach issues.

In other words, putting bait (food) down will only lure more to mess with your truck.

I recommend a repellent:

I use spearmint oil from a sprayer around the tires on the pickup, under the hood in their favorite areas, esp. on the battery blankets and driver front of the head area, and some electronic traps in the area.
