Why can I not find any gravity feed HVLP systems for sale?

Great! We're going to have the spiffiest looking rigs around.

For those who are sitting on the fence, just imagine staring at the front end of your beautiful Dodge all caved in along with fenders, radiator, A/C & intercooler. Meanwhile, we will just be running a garden hose on our Buckstops to remove the blood and hair:)

Like Paul said, the group buy will work better if we get a few more people involved.

Have not had the chance to put it on yet- Too bad I already hit a deer and cracked my grill. Does no good if the buckstop is in the garage waiting for install. Anyone need a slightly tweaked stock '04 front bumper?? no charge for deer hair:D I like the look and finish. No issues with this company they are good stay away from road armor. I think ranch hand and ruenel make good stuff. although I am not a fan of powder coating-The finish looks very good. OBTW my order for the buckstop came after I hit a deer with my jetta and did 1600$ worth of damage- and it got up and ran away. I cracked my grill (100$??) on the truck- that deer did not get up - except to shake off its mortal coil:D

I had a ProZap (looked very similar to the Buckstop) on my '96 Ram. After a few years rust began to eat through the powder coat and the powder coat starting being chipped away around openings. Is their anything better than powder coating?

Would Line-X hold up better? I travel on dirt roads every day so a durable finish is important to me.

Also does anyone have pics of the 2003 Rear bumpers from Buckstop? I didn't see any on the website and they have them listed on their price pages. They are also more expensive than the others. If I order I will be getting a complete set, no point in paying shipping twice!

If my Powder Coating ever goes bad, I will blast the Bumper and have it Line-X'ed. However the problem with a Line-X type coating is that every bug in the world will get imbeded into the texture. It would be a lot of work to keep it looking nice. I did see a Line-X grill guard last week, It did look nice.

"KRS"

Just for THE RECORD,,, how many DEER would you NOT have hit if you didn't have your "THINGIES" ON??

(i. e. ),,One of the "HUNTING" magazines did TEST on these "THINGIES"...

You have to realize folks,,,,, these things WHISTLE at ULTRASONIC levels,,,,,As in DOG WHISTLES ... . Deer hear at us HUMANS leval,,,,,,Point being they can NOT HEAR THE NOISE.

JUST MY 2cents

One of the universities, Michigan or Wisconsin I think did a study on the deer whistles also. Said there are two types and neither one produces sound that deer can hear. maybe we should mount carbide cannons on the front as most deer seem to be really allergic to the sound of gunfire

I am one that is on the fence. How many confimed orders are there currently. I am going to do my best to get in on this even though I really can't afford it. So, can anyone spot me 1200 smacks... ..... ;)

I am not a fan of powdercoating in general either, but at least this is good powdercoating. It's two coats, the color coat and a clear coat. The labels on the shipping crate had "Tuffkote" as the brand.

I just finished installing both of mine (except for the lights) last night. It was too dark when I was done to take pictures though. I can get good pictures of the rear posted soon though. I like the rear, it's stronger than I thought it would be. It has 4 bolts to each frame rail plus two giant bolts that go down through the center step pad, through the two outer trailer ball holes in the top of the trailer hitch.

Very, very happy. I was already answering questions about them to another Dodge/Cummins owner when I was filling up this morning.

I'm on the fence, too, although I may be about to fall off on the "I should really pay down some debt before incurring any more" side.

But I e-mailed Buckstop last night, and Dorian e-mailed me back at 7:30 this morning. I had asked about the current price, and what the best we could hope for was. His response was the the best only required about four more orders. He quoted a number $56 below what the current GP price was at with that many more orders (I won't post the actual numbers in deference to TDR policy).

Even if I don't buy now, I'm impressed with Dorian's responsiveness, both the timliness and the way he answered all my questions.

Dorian is great. I was bugging him every few days towards the end if my bumpers had shipped yet. I had an insurance deadline and Oregon was hit with the ice storm just as my bumpers were scheduled to go out, shutting down the trucking.

I took some pictures, I'll post them today.

For you guys still on the fence, I was really borderline on the price as well (especially when you can get a new OEM in the classifieds for about $200). But, once I received that 'work of art', I really started to wonder how he makes them for such a reasonable price? :D He obviously has the appropriate tooling and resources. Don't forget that this is a two-stage powder coating that goes on each bumper which is an expensive process in itself.

I called Dorian and also ordered a rear bumper. Coould not pass up the great deal on a rear with the group purchase.

I continue to sit on the fence. I sent an email to Buckstop asking about stainless steel and he said that was something they were looking at but it wouldnt happen soon.

So here I sit. If we are just 1 shy of the next magic number on the 26th, and everyone who's already ordered agrees to send me $20, I'm sure that will convince me. :-laf :-laf :-laf

I will gladly fax you $20 and am sure other members will do the same. Get off the fence before a picket becomes lodged where the monkeys hide their peanuts. Deep down you know you want and need this bumper. Your truck wants this bumper and your wife will think it makes your truck very sexy
