UPDATE: Received a call from the dealer telling me that they are praying for the 26th (scheduled delivery date)
UPDATE: Chrysler emailed me stating:

Thank you for contacting Chrysler Canada Customer Care regarding your
new vehicle order status.

We wanted to follow up with you to advise that your vehicle is currently
on a rail car and is in transport. We once again appreciate the delay in
this matter.

We encourage you to continue keeping in contact with the sales
department at your selling dealership for the most up to date
information regarding this matter.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write.

On a railcar huh? Then what? Sits in a yard for 2 weeks until a truck can deliver it to the dealer?
Looks like I can tack on a few more weeks to my order ... This is sooo incredibly sad.

It's not like I wanted anything special ... split back window .. trailer hitch ... in a Reg cab long box ... white. **Diesel***

If you guy actually understood how a logistic supply chain works I think you have an appreciation of well the system actually works.

Moving freight economically, safely and accurately is not like going to the market.

Just remember good things are always worth the wait.

I just realized that the 2015's will be coming out shortly ... Therefor my 2014 will have depreciated before I get a chance to put and miles on it.

The latest delivery date of June 26th has come and gone again.

Chrysler says it's on a rail car .. didn't say if it was moving. Probably just sitting in a rail yard.
I'll still have to wait for it to unload and haulers to move it to the dealership. I am optimistically predicting 3 more weeks.

Blueball,

Don't mean to sound like a jerk, so PLEASE don't take it that way. But you said yourself you didn't really order anything special, so why not just buy out of dealer stock? I've waited nearly 4 months myself in the past, so I feel your pain. However I was ordering a very custom rig that simply didn't exist in the northwest. Yours sounds like somebody should surely have one?

I wanted a reg cab long box .. in white. They didn't have any on the lot. Since the deliver was supposed to be 4-6 weeks, I though ... no big deal, I can wait. Thats all I've been doing ...
I also added split rear window and trailer hitch .. like I said .. nothing special really.

I will definitely buy my next one off the lot. Lesson learned.

It's a mixed bag buying from a lot, there's always something you didn't want or sacrificed, but when you order it, you get want you want and nothing more or less. I know I would have lost my patience by now, but you should use that as a bargaining chip, demand to apply your deposit to a 2015 which should have started to take orders by now.

I couldn't find a reg cab longbox in white w/G-56 in the southwest.
Dave Smith had a bunch of ST's but I wanted power seats and you had to upgrade to an SLT to get them.

Well, after 18 weeks I find out my truck got damaged during delivery and can not be sold as new.

Now what?

Dealer is trying to put me into something similar .. seems like a waste to have waited all this time for similar.

Just amazing. What options have they given you at this point?

If it means anything, my '79 Chevy had damage to the drivers door just below the mirror when it came of the truck new. We ended up having them fix the truck and it has been perfectly fine since. We still have the truck.

I still think you should force the issue about ordering a 2015 and make them discount some of the options. If it were me, I'd threaten to go to the competition (another dealer) and buy one from them, and even pay full price just out of spite. I know its not the dealers fault, but they need to put pressure on Fiat to compensate you for your troubles. When Dodge screwed me on my load flat system for the back seat, I put pressure on anyone possible, even though I didn't get it included, the service manager definitely knew when I pulled up. I just found another dealer and gave them my money, I refuse to go back there.

Well, dealer has an Ecodiesel tradesman 4x4 reg cab long box with backup camera, power group and bedliner ... they will tint windows for free ... $35294 CDN before tax... (PDI incl)

My order was an Ecodiesel SLT 4x2 reg cab long box with split window, power group ... $35794 CDN before tax (PDI incl)

I gain 4x4, bedliner, backup camera, tint
I lose 18" alloys, chrome bumbers and grille, split window

So it's actually going to be $500 less

Well, the dealer pulled through and so did chrysler. I got what I think to be a better truck at less than I was going to pay .. plus chrysler coughed up $1000 in mopar accessories. I still maintained the same finance rate and discounts I got back in march.

I ended up with a 2014 Tradesman 4x4 reg cab long box ecodiesel
back up camera
Uconnect 5.0
Tinted windows
active grill shutters
20" sport rims and tires (I kept the 18" steel rims and tires)
spray in bedliner
upgraded 8 speed transmission (more robust than reg 1500's)
Hitch and brake controller
power windows and locks
Security group
5 year/100K full warranty
2 jugs of DEF
10 oil changes and rotations

$36K CDN before PDI and taxes
