Another "etc" Problem & Question

Took my 08 Mega in to the dealer for second oil change (6400 mi) and asked

tech if he would clear the "MIL" and "lightning bolt" icon and he said no

problem. These symbols only show up when you turn on the key for a

startup. As soon as you engage the starter and crank the motor they

go away... . He hooked up his Star Scan and it did not show a code of any

kind... tried several more time with the same results. Anyboby have any

ideas ? Don't want to have some other problem and just think it pertains

to this when iI see the "MIL" lit up. So far this has been my only problem.

Also have the"AP" flash and it has helped my fuel milage... . I guess I'll

just live with the constant "Regen" until I can get a DPF delete.

maybe I am missing somehting but that sounds like a bulb check of the check engine light and i think the bolt if it is orange is the wait to start light for the diesel engine. I also see a red one and I forget what that was for. again it sounds like bulb checks to me

Etc Light

The "Lightening Bolt Icon" is for the "Electronic Throttle Control". The

"curley-Q or spiral shaped pig's tail" is the "WAIT TO START" icon. How

could the "engine light" show every time if it was a "bulb out" situation?

Once the engine is started none of them are lit up and the panel appears

to show normal. Sorry for the delay, but just got back from a 5 day trip.

dood those are bulb checks, are made to light up during koeo operation... read the owners manual, it will tell you the same.
