Another, "I got the DTT transmission upgrade and it ROCKS" Thread

When I first started researching auto transmission upgrades I started looking here at the TDR. I pulled from so many sources it made my head spin. There are alot of threads that slam some companies and alot of threads that praise them. NOW there are alot of transmission upgrade companies that do a good job. This is not a thread that's stating one is better than another. I drove a few different companies transmission equiped trucks and found almost all of them to perform amazing over any stock transmission. If I have to make one biased opinion here it's that a transmission upgrade is the single best modificatiion I have ever done! So far.



Well, Massdiesel has just installed my DTT Valve body & 89% Torque Converter with the Update kit. I can honestly say, how did I drive my truck without it. No more sloppy shifting. Every shift is clean and decisive with no hesitation. With my recent installation of DDII's and my existing edge EZ, this combination is the most fun I've had with my truck.

I also cannot say more about Massdiesel. He does a first class job at DTT installs. His knowledge and expertise at diassembling, inspecting possible problem areas, assembly and installs is a great asset to the DTT name. They are lucky to have him as a certified installer. I now feel that my transmission can handle the abuse I can give it and still last to well over 100,000 miles.

Well lets see, We have Mass Diesel in the East, Fred Swanson in the West, and James Northum deep in the heart of Texas. So who are the other big installers for DTT (trying to stir up more business here) Greg, your going to freakout when you get the transmission done with that much power, the more power you have before the mod the bigger the factor on the test drive.

massdiesel is the MAN period! He does a lot more than just trannys. So far as I can tell, he'll get you anything you want. Put's on a good barbecue too! Seriously, I have never seen a guy go so far to satisfy his customers. Massdiesel is the best!!



(and with HeyBoss there to help him just about all the time, I'd say he get's a close second!!!)

Yeah ever notice how everyone here is great at spending your money... . and your driving home thinking how much did I just spend??? But then you ease into the Go pedal and ... . Truckless....

I took my truck to my mechanic Friday night to get my DTT installed and he still has it... aaahhhhh.



A SECOND is a HELLLLLUUVVVVAAAA long time !!!!



I'm having him replace the rear main oil seal while he has the trans out of the way and it's just my luck that he used his last seal in another truck the day before... ... . aaahhhhh.



PS I've seen 2 completely smashed timming gear cases and timming gears at his shop in the last 2 weeks.



Word up... if you haven't fixed your Killer Dowel Pin you're asking for trouble !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is getting tuff I drop mine off at Kustom Truck in Yuba City California this weekend for a Pacbrake, Smart controller and TC from DTT. Got to wait to the next weekend to get it unfortunately
