I was reading the latest issue of the TDR Mag yesterday and read somewhere ( I forgot where) that some of the lift pump problems can be attributed to shifting the manuals at high rpm-3200. It said that the rapid reduction of fuel flow is what hurts it. I can see that this will be a problem for me because this is how I drive alot of the time, you know trying to accelerate a 6800lb vehicle like a 3000lb Corvette. So I guess this leaves three options 1. Keep your foot on the gas when you shift but is that hard on the clutch? 2. Buy a few extra lift pumps and get lots of practice changing them. 3. Drive the truck like the 6800lb vehicle that it is, ya right!!!!!
