I've been a member a little over two years. Hovered for about 6 months prior to joining when there was about 1500 members. Now, at nearly 12k (unfreakinbelievable) it's hard to wade through the 'posts' and find exactly what you want (especially in "search" mode). There used to be no more than one days worth of posts (per topic) on one page. Now, it's two or more pages per day, per topic.



I'm not sure if it's called a new "forum or topic. " Anyway, I'm pushin' for another forum to help "fine-tune" the catagory selection. Of course this is my own personal preference, but I'd like to see a forum entitled "FOUR WHEELIN' and ACCESSORIES" (or similar). To include, off-road enthusiasts, people interested in accessories pertaining to suspensions and lift kits, recovery equipment (winches, straps, etc. ), lights, heavy-duty bumpers, etc, etc. and of course all the technical stuff that applies to installations and general 4wheelin'.



Not that I'm gonna use my CTD for any "serious" wheelin' (I've got a future project Jeep for that. . ), but it's always good to have it when you need it. Just like the reason most people by a 4by in the first place. Plus it looks tuff. It must be a testosterone thing.



So pipe up if your interested so we can get this thing approved.

We'll look at this in the future - I personally like the idea as I wheel my CTD regularly (sand dunes, trail driving, etc). There are a lot of other more pressing issues at the top of the stack right now though. First we have to get the site running reliably on the new servers and implement a few other changes that have been on the to do list for a long time.

As my budget will only allow 1 vehicle, my CTD is my off road truck also. I could really use that kind of forum. The products/ acc. forum has good stuff, but like walker said, it's hard to wade through all of the other accs. to get to the off road ones.

Sounds good ..... we also need the member sightings forum as well ... I sighted three TDR guys on my last trip out to Missouri ... One I distinctly remember was in a garnet red 4X4 in MO ... heading west on I44 ... nice ride whoever you are!!

'Cummins Offroad'

How about 'Cummins Offroad' (just thinking outload - LOL). Well I don't have a D C 4X4 but another form wouldn't hurt since I am quite sure there are some serious off-roaders out there driving Cummins. BUT or HOWEVER:



What I would really like to see is the ability to look at only the 'new posts' to the forms I have subscribed to.



For example, I am currently subscribed to the 24 valve, towing and accessory forms BUT when I search for 'new post' I get all forms and usually about 150-200 posts to go through. Now I am sure the 12 valvers out there are very good vehicles (they sure get better mileage than I do) and sometimes I will open other forms to just see what's happening BUT not everyday.



What I really want is just those 50 or so post that I am interested in.



Any comments ? ? ?
