i've been wanting something more efficient then the 330 marine's and am wanting some ddp's, 2s sound good and 3s are interesting but what makes the 3s worth $150 more then the 2s? at the moment i am at 300hp and 600 foot pounds with just the marines, 16. 5* timing, ats manifold, 4" straight pipe and stock plate forward, i am wanting another 100 hp and 200 ft lb or so but it'll be a while before i get there and will probably need a south bend clutch and a good turbo of some sort to do it

besides the smoke and so so mileage theres nothing wrong with the 20k mile or so old 330s, what say the experts? 2s outta support around 375hp with a turbo/#10 plate and be somewhat useful when the occasion to drag something down the road arises, or should i find the extra $150 and get the 3s, 95% of the time all it's hauling is butt and more mpg with the god awful fuel prices would be sweet, diesel hit $. 62 more then regular today and as such have been driving my bmw as it gets 3-4 more mpg and sucks down $. 40 a gallon cheaper fuel while doing it and when i get my other hotrod bimmer on the road soon it'll get almost 8 mpg better then the truck. i miss driving my truck :{

i would go with the stage 3's, i actually lost about 30hp when i swaped out the 370's for the stage 3's. the stage 3's in my truck i know have made about 470hp, and 970 on torque, that was with alot of pump modifications too,( no plate, fully cut DV's, 20 deg. of timing, FASS fuel system at 45psi. ), but they still are very clean injectors, and if there are too much, well you can always move your plate around to get what your looking for out of those injectors. i actually think i will loose some power going from the 330's to the stage 2's, that why i reccomend the stage 3's. they are more than streetable, but when you want to have some fun, they dont hold back.

Bmoeller, How's your egt's with the 4's? I'm going to get bigger sticks. I'm not sure about which ones. I want the DDP 4's but not sure the turbo I'm going with (II ps62/14) will keep them cool (DDP says it will be fine, II says not), so I might have to go with the DDP 3's. Have considered a set from II also, cause I've heard there 145* spray pattern is better than the 155* from DDP for 12v's.

DDP 75 HP installed - WOW

Monday I got a set of DDP 75HP injectors installed. I was totaly unprepared for the difference in power and torque!:-laf:-laf Check out the Dyno #'s... The best part is my mileage has increased from an average of 17mpg around town (on the overhead) to 22+mpg so far. (and I have been really putting my foot into it for the last couple of days. :D)

I know that the computer mpg is not always that accurate for everyone, but mine is useually within 1/2 of a mpg of my manual calculations. But I will have to wait till next week when I fill up and manually check my mileage. I am betting that it will be very good news!

Dynomite Diesel, as always, provided fast, expert and friendly service and took the time to answer all my questions without ever making me feel like a tard. Evan and Ryan are great guys!

Anyway i've had this stupid grin on my face for 3 days now... Wooo Hooo!

Let me ask another ignorant question here. The DDP web site lists 50, 75, 90, and 140 HP injectors. Are these what you guys are calling DDP2, DDP3, and DDP4 injectors?

How about delivery valves? Is changing those probably going to screw up mileage?

You got it smart guy

ddp1 50 horse

ddp2 75 horse

ddp3 90 horse

ddp4 140 horse

delivery valves will make a world of difference all by themselves but when you add in the injectors you better hold on :D:D:D:DOo. Oo. Oo. Oo.
