... those nitwits that bring lawsuits against a gun manufacturer when some miscreant uses that particular product to commit a murder.

Specifically, some of the murder victims are bringing suit against Bushmaster because they made John Lee Malvo and his booty-buddy John Mohammed's rifle.

The product was not a custom job. It was "off the rack".

Nobody from Bushmaster ever met these two clowns.

Nearest we, the general public can tell, their product functioned perfectly. The defect was in the choice of targets, and that was M&M's decision.

While we're at it, let's make sure we sue GM... It was, after all a big blue Chevy, right?

Were they both wearing shoes? We should then, sue Nike, Reebok, or whomever.

How'bout socks? No respectable miscreant shooter goes around with shoes, but no socks. Make sure the plaintiff owns a big piece of Hanes underwear, Stanley tool (they needed a holesaw for that trunk lid, you know, so OBVIOUSLY the tool company's partially to blame)

Were there any McDonald's or similar fast-food wrappers in the vehicle? Can't shoot good if you've got the hypoglycemic shakeys.

I don't recall if there was a scope or if he/they used the aperture sight. . might better sue them, too.

And the maker of the screwdriver used to mount said scope.

And all the makers of screwdrivers that were NOT used.

They may or may not have purchased tires for the car, but, those tires were there, at the scene of every shooting. Sue Michelin, or Goodyear, or whomever's trademark appears on the sidewalls.

Is there no end to the sheer, unadulterated money-grubbing in this country?

When I grow up, I wanna be a hermit. I can't stand any of y'all bar-stewards, any more. :need a "disgusted with whole thing" smiley here:

I know, how about if we sue their families for letting them out in public. If they wanted to keep them safe they should not have let them out of their houses. Really I do feel for their families ,but you cannot hold any company liable for the end users results. to many good things have come to pass because of frivolous lawsuits. I saw a guy talking to a lawyer about suing a motorcycle company and the owner of a motocross track. Because he did not know how to ride he thinks it is their fault for his stupidly,Unfortunately my big mouth got the best of me and I chewed his a** and told him what a piece of sh** he was and hoped he would happy when the track closed because of people like him... Oh Oh feel the blood pressure going up.

Rich M,

You forgot a few companies with big bucks.

They had to buy gasoline and change the oil, that will net you Shell, Mobil, Exxon.....

What about the battery that started their car.

How about some paper companies. If it wasn't for toilet paper, their a**es would be so sore that they wouldn't be able to sit in the vehical to drive it to the crime scenes.

And sue either DuPont or PPG, because one of them probably supplied that blue paint to GM.

Does anyone ever sue a knife manufacturer when someone gets stabbed to death? How about Louisville Slugger or some of the golf club makers. More than a few people have been beaten to death with hammers, I'm sure. That's obviously the fault of Stanley and other makers, as well as Home Depot and Lowe's, because they sell them. Axes, too. If someone hangs themself, is that the fault of the company that made the rope? Did the package that the rope came in have a warning printed on it? Who sold the rope? How many people die of bee stings every year? Their families ought to sue the national beekeepers association and the food corporations (Kraft, etc. ) that sell honey.

I'm going bald. Can I sue some major corporation for that? Maybe I can sue my employer and prove it was caused by on-the-job stress. I know... I think I'll sue Al Gore because I spend too much time on the internet, which means lost sleep, which leads to baldness. After all, he invented the internet, didn't he?

Maybe we should all sue the TDR for causing us to spend more money on our trucks than non-TDR Dodge owners. ;)

and the company that sold the vinyl for the car upholstery... might as well get all GM's subcontractors, and the trucking companies that delivered gas to the various gas stations where they filled up said "big blue Chevy"

And all the owners of white vans, for distracting Chief Moose.
