I have not had a chance to remove the cowl and look yet, but I am having a problem with my passenger wiper not moving when the driver side wiper operates. It started Saturday night when I went to leave for work. They both made two wipes and the third wipe was only made by the driver's wiper and the passenger wiper has not worked since.

I am hoping that it is just something on the right wiper that has come loose and I can put it back together pretty easy. Anyone else had this issue?

Thanks Ed. I went by the parts store and they had the generic plastic parts that are "supposed" to fit according to the package. I am going to tear it down tomorrow and see what is up. I hope you are correct and my "supposed" to fit part works. It is supposed to rain big time Monday and Tuesday!

Update: Ed, you nailed it. The plastic ball joint on the right side just wore out enough to allow the arm that drives the right wiper to fall off. I did not have any parts to be able to rig a repair, so I removed the linkage arm with the bad joint so that I could run the wipers without having to worry about the wore out arm jamming or wearing on something that it should not be during wiper operation.

It is raining hear today and I have the driver side wiper only working. I have ordered the entire assembly from Mopar4Less.com and it should be on its' way to me tomorrow. I will install it one night this week now that I know how to get to it. There are several hooks at the top of the cowl cover that the service manual does not mention in the removal / installation process. #@$%! Did not break anything, but it was agravating to get in there the first time.

Sorry I should have warned ya about that plastic cowling, I broke one of those hooks and had to make a new one. They don't make it easy to fix these things, nor do they make these things to last... ...

No problem. I am just impressed that I did not break it and I can get back in there pretty easy when the new part gets here.

Update!

I received the replacement part Friday via UPS. Chrysler calls the whole thing a motor assembly. I pulled it apart Saturday morning, removed the old assembly, and installed the new assembly. Easy job. The Chrysler part is made by Tryco. It has the chrysler part number and I think it also has the Trico part number on the same tag! I took a picture of the tag incase someone else needs the info.

I am glad to have my wipers working again!:)

How much was the whole assembly? and did it come with the motor? I had to replace my wiper motor, Carquest had one on the shelf it's the noisiest motor ever, much louder than the engine. I'm thinking about replacing the whole assembly to get ahead of future issues...
