New issue of TDR

I have been following some of the Biodiesel threads around the TDR and checking out various websites and I'd like to give it a try. I found a local distributor here in Colorado Springs that sells B20. He told me, however, that it is a blend of 50% #2, 30% #1 and 20% Bio.

I was expecting a standard B20 blend to be 80% #2 and 20% Bio. Also, I've read that a B20 blend will have slightly less energy. Replacing 30% #2 with #1 would seem to make it even worse.

Is this a normal B20 blend? I'm not concerned about it hurting my engine, just my performance and mileage more than I thought.

The 30% #1 is probably a winter blend to thin things out a bit. There's no problem with the blend. . but it will have less energy. The 20% biodiesel will give you "plenty" of lubrication in the mix. . so you pump and injectors will love it.

Go for it. . your truck will thank you!
