Anyone got theirs broken in yet. Before and after egt, or dyno?

I'm getting there. Just past the 250 mark (on the new HG & O-ring). Passed a car for the first time tonight in a while :-laf Hit about 35psi and bounced back down to 30 (feathering foot in effort to be easy) EGT's stopped @ 1200 that's down 200* from passing with my HX35. Oo. Can definately tell this thing runs better and stronger than stock. Spools just like stock, but makes more power @ Less PSI. Oo.

i picked mine up saturday, good looking charger. as soon as i get my exhaust setup ill get it on,i will say one thing jr is good to work with, didnt mind explaining things or showing me what he was talking about, hes go all my buisness. now all i need is the name of this charger so i can put it in my sig.

JR's turbo that clears up my smoke some, eh Lawson? :-laf

seriously though I think the ADP "signature series" has a ring to it. this would be the JR-5 in the series.

supersonic seen how this turbo and a "little" fuel can spank those duramax's.

After he got behind me i gave him a little soot shower. :-laf

Chris

Yeah it clears up the smoke great

:-laf Sorry but the dmax wanted to play

He was expecting a stocker then he went :--) when i whooped him.

It was all fun though,

Chris

Got mine on. First impression, this thing is awesome, I broke it in last night and this morning, just like JR said, and I will be towing with it today. Don't worry I already have close to 200 miles on it already. I think it spools faster than my stocker, definately cools down faster, and sounds sooo much better. I will report my findings from the tow over the grapevine on sunday or monday.

Doing mine in today

Wish I knew about the group buy. Hope I didn't pay to much more. I'll let you know how it goes later. Hurry up a get a name for this thing so I can tell people about it.

Well, finally got the 200 mi break-in done and went for a run. I haven't got my thermocouple put back in yet so I don't know how much lower the EGT's are. I am one of the few who still have a post-turbo Pyrometer reading. One of these days I'll get up with the times. Anyway, I guess I expected more boost from this turbo, but I didn't get any more than with my stock HX35. I still can't even get to 30 psi. I guess I need to add more fuel to eclipse that mark; however, I know there are plenty of guys running the same set-up I have and they have reported higher boost #'s with their stock chargers. I'm puzzled. Any ideas?

Well, I towed my 5'er up the grapevine on friday and sunday. On the way up, with the comp set on 1x3 I was getting about 30psi and the pyro was at 1175*. Once I got the trailer unhooked, I really started playing with it, 5th gear, I put the box on 3x5 and matted it, boost went to 32psi then all of a sudden swung to 42psi, I said huh thats odd, stopped opened the hood and I had blown the hose clean off the boost elbow. Put it back on and again only 32-34psi on a good pull at WOT. I got a hold of Rick Harvey and installed an adjustable elbow (thanks again Rick) for the trip back. On the return trip I was getting an easy 36psi and the pyro was between 1050* and 1125*, all the pulls up the grapevine were in 6th gear between 60 and 75 mph. I did have to slow because of traffic and was all the way back in fourth gear, but could easily regain my speed without burying the pyro. Thanks JR and Clawson, and Got Smoke? for the great Group Buy you guys put together.
