Air horns question

Maximum weight of trailer on hitch.

Hi to everybody. I em in process to buy little bigger toy hauler and will need upgrade

to higher capacity WD hitch. On last boat show I saw the WD hitch from Blue Ox. called

Sway Pro http://www.blueox.us/Hitches/hitches.htm which look interesting, but in last Toy Hauler magazine they have add for

this WD hitch http://www.equalizerhitch.com/ which look very good too. Did anybody have a any experience with either of them ?

I don't know anything about the Blue Ox but towed over 25k with an equalizer- it's design is somewhat unique in that you get two anti sway bars too. If someone told me it would've improved things that much I'd of thought they were full of it. I don't haul with a tag trailer anymore but if I did... ... . I hadf the 12k hauling about 8500 lbs- we drive fast and it improved handling considerably

I believe that Reese is the largest and one of the oldest hitch manufacturers. I have towed with Reese equipment WD & 5th wheel for over 30 years and I have never had a problem with any Reese equipment. I would not consider using anything else. It's kind of like Michellin, there is a lot riding on that hitch and I want the best.

RT... while your statement holds true- the designs are apples and oranges- optional add on sway features for the Reese would have more play than the equalizer rendering it less effective at sway control. I respect the loyalty- but the design is just plain better with the equalizer- I'm confident you'd agree if you looked them both over. Not trying to be argumentative but help my TDR Brutha's:)
