Well I'm getting my feet wet in the first month of ownership...

Love the truck, it pull's my new Jayco 10,000# 5th like a dream. I'm learning a lot about this truck and its quirks.

You guessed. I pulled my new Jayco home, and back to the dealer for repairs, only to have my ABS/BRAKE lights come on. . ( The Jayco mess is ANOTHER story #ad
)

I checked the archives and did quite a few of the checks, but to no avail.

Anyone recently had this problem and fixed it? if not, its off to DC in the am.

Last thing, where. what does the sensor look like on the rear axle? Its a DANA 80 rear end.

Thanks in advance. Ed

I had a similar problem, but I also had problems changing the direction of the air through the vents. I couldn't get it to go from blowing to the front to the defroster, or anything else, for that matter.
As it turns out, the vacuum hoses that control the air, brakes, etc. became soft and would colapse causing the red brake, the yellow ABS lights to go on. Had no problems stopping, though. I don't know if it is a warranty item, it wasn't for me. Though I had an extended warranty, it cost me $152. 00 - because the hoses did not have any metal, just rubber, they were seen as "wearable items" therefore, not covered. My problem came to a head after 40,516 miles.

The sensor on the rear end is on top above the ring gear, follow the wires. Remove 1 bolt, lift straight up, clean off reinstall.
Hope it works for you, didnt for me which means nothingat all.
Good Luck
John

Sometimes disconnecting your batteries for a few minutes will allow the PCM to reset, and hopefully lights will go out. Good luck.

Check your brake light fuse before you do anything! If this blows, possibly due to a trailer drawing too much current, both the brake and ABS lights will come on.

You can get codes from computer by turning the key to run position, then ground pin 13 of the data link connector(momentarily)ABS and Brake warning lights will start to flash. Count the flashes.
Dodge-Tech is right a blown fuse could cause the lights to go on.

I've had intermittent "brake & ABS" lights go on since day one (purchased truck new). Brought to dealer many times since and they have yet to find solid fix. Truck now registers 33k miles and problem have not happened for about 4 months now - but who know's???
Checked and performed all tech tips described in TDR pub and this BB but did not help my situation. TSB done to vacuum pump at recall. Anyway, I'm basically living with this nuisance until??????
Good luck in your efforts and hope you really solve the gremlin.
