Hey, I just picked up a 2004 TN75A 4 wheel drive. It has 2700 hours on it and looks pretty good. Everything appeared to be in good shape until i went to put her in 4 wheel drive today. I was pulling my orchard float leveling out some dirt i had piled up behind the house. She started spinning the rears pretty good in some sloppy stuff, so i grabbed the 4x lever and nothing. I was like ***? so i tried again thinking I didn't get it all the way in. I tried backing up pulling forward putting the main trans in neutral first. Nothing i do gets the front to engage. If i pull up real hard on the 4x lever while spinning the rears, i can hear a faint grinding noise coming from down below. Not a nasty parts breaking grind, but the same sound you might hear if you were rolling a little in our trucks and tried to go from low rang to 4 hi. (hope that makes sense) Anyway, is there an adjustment on the linkage i can look at? Is there a common issue that would cause the 4x not to engage. I have not signed the contract yet on the purchase, so if it is something major, I'm going to walk. If it's a simple fix or adjustment, that is fine, but if major, I'll keep looking. TIA Phil
