Thanks, TDR Staff

was this a good deal?

Mazda CX-9.... Opinions-Thoughts...

13MWZ,

Congrats on the new toy and welcome home. I too treated myself to a Harley after one of my deployments. 2001 FLSTSI Heritage Springer with a few add-ons over the years, Screaming Eagle pipes, breather kit, Harley Race Tuner, windshield, rider backrest, passenger backrest to keep the wife happy. Other than my CTD, if is the only other vehicle that has ever brought a smile to my face every time I drive or ride. Actually, it's for sale if anyone wants to join the Harley club. Just don't have time to ride anymore and other priorities. Hopefully, I didn't break any TDR rules by mentioning.

Anyway, wishing you an open road ahead of you and keep the shiny side up!

Glad to see so many other HD riders are here. I had to drop my pipes off to get sent back for a warrenty replacement..... been without an exhaust for 2 weeks and it's killin me! The weather has been great and I cant ride! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

They didn't have a set of pipes at the dealer? Why not get after market ones anyways... . more power and they sound better.

I have a 2006 Nightrain. It is slammed to the ground. Custom rear fender, lights, and side plate. Vance and Hines Big Shot Pipes and tuner kit. It's just shy of 10,000 miles. I pretty much use to ride it everywhere. I have a suicide clutch and jockey shift for the bike but nor sure if I really want to put it on. It is actualy up for sale right now if anyone know of someone that is looking. All work was done by myself with the help of some buddies.

I just picked up an '08 FLSTC- Heritage Softail Classic.

With the counterbalancing, injection and 6 speed trans, I think these may be the best Harley's yet.

I still get a little grin on my face each time I click it into 6th gear. . :)

Goodies on the way: COBRA 2 into 2 exhaust, cobra tuner, stage 1 air cleaner, Kuryakyn engine guard...

Ride Safe!

I just took my Sporty out for a ride Saturday. I've been telling myself all winter I'm gonna sell it this spring. I'm not sure I can bring myself to do it. Like others have said, it brings a smile to my face to get out there on the scooter.

Love the Bikes!!!

My wife and I have an '06 Deluxe. I think she pushed for it more than I did. But, I eventually came around. Here is a picture of us on our first trip to Sturgis. The Rapid City, SD dealership is in the background. Enjoy!

By the way, per my signature I am trying to get out of debt. One more Debt and I am out (other than the mortgage), then I will be saving to pay cash for another CTD.

They are aftermarket pipes (check out the first post in this thread for a look-see at them). I had them put on when I bought the bike along with the air cleaner and computer download. The dealer didnt have another set of the same pipes in inventory so had to send them back to Rinhart for replacement. The rear part of the pipes are black powdercoated and it started to blue and almost look rusty. Rinhart has a lifetime warrenty on their products and exchanged them with no problem. Just waitin for the new ones to come in... ... ... still.

2003 Superglide. I kept it at 88 ci but bumped it up a little. I think it's at 98 hp 102 tq. I'll check my dyno sheet when I get home. Didn't have much time this summer to ride.

BVol,

I'm in Coventry, on the other side of the state, but have ridden through the Cornwall and Litchfield County hills a few times. Great out part of the state for that and great pic, too. Haven't been out there for some time, though.

Harleys

Bought a 1963 XLCH Sportster In early 1964. The bike was a Repo. with 975 miles on it, and a buy at $900 (I couldn't afford $1350 for a new 1964).

Was drafted in early 66 so had to sell the bike. Am looking at buying another used 883 as soon as one comes along. Too old to kick start one so I'll settle for an electric start, though not impossible.

Anyone know of any early models for sale: 1963 to 1967 ???

There's a few on ebay.

I picked up my first Heritage in 1994 (1984 Model). Followed it up with an '89 FLSTC, then a '98 FLSTC, tried out a '96 FLHRI (didn't like it much) and finally a yellow '00 Heritage that I sold in 2003. Seven years later, I took the plunge again, but this time I went for comfort and luxury as well as stability (diabetes has wreaked havoc on my the feeling in my feet and legs through the years) and sprung for this big momma. AKA The Blue Goose. Definitely different but she's growing on me.
