5" exhaust help

What paint would you all recomend i use on my ATS manifold? I know i need something that will hold up to heat. Im not 100% how hot the manifold itself gets. ANyone have any ideas?

I had mine ceramic coated inside and out, including the bolts, with 2000*satin black by this company:

www.performancecoatings.com

Cost was ~$140. After ~40k miles it has "faded" some, but still looks ok.

I have no experience with paint applications which I'm sure are a less expensive option.

Check with Vaughn MacKenzie. He has a painted ATS manifold on his truck. I think he has pictures in his reader's gallery

I had my ATS manifold Aluminum Ceramic coated inside and out by Airborne Coatings. They did a great job and the price was alot cheaper that I had thought it would be ($60?). I would have my next one done in a heartbeat.

Checked this out and it looks lie a 6 cylinder cast manifold runs 95 bucks. I am thinking i might do this... . HEMI = how long did they have your manifold for?

ATS manifold coating

Used black VHT on the twin turbo exhaust hiusings and the manifold. Has help up very well, and much cheaper than ceramic coating.

Nope, I hope not anyway ;) . . . Lookee here www.por15.com

I think,

POR-15 is the trademark product of the company POR-15 Inc.

POR-15 Inc. manufactures primers, paints, coatings, cleaners, degreasers, putty, fillers, sealers, and whatever else I have forgotten :p

POR-20 is one of their three high temperature paints rated to 1,400 degrees F. Their factory manifold gray is rated the same but, their Black Velvet is only rated to 1,200 degrees F.

“POR-15® is a high-tech, high performance rust-preventive coating designed for application directly on rusted or seasoned metal surfaces. ” It does not have a temperature rating.

Nick,

I dropped it off at Airborn. They have a shop about 1/2 hour away. It took about a week. I was not in a hurry.
