OK just got around to changing both fuel filters on 2016 2500 tradesman 4x4 under 9.000 miles went about as expected after reading the help I got on here a while back. Well like most others I can't get the stupid computer to reset I have followed the instructions in the manual did it a total 8 times, Followed the other suggested methods posted in other threads on the issue. Does any one have anything new to add from their dealer. Or does anybody know what happens when the % gets to 0% will the truck still run or does it stay at the % it was at when the filters were changed?

It is a two step process. You go to the screen hold right arrow and another screen pops up. You then have to scroll to reset and hold right arrow a second time. SNOKING

That is the instructions in the manual and it didn't work, tried it almost 10 times and the other suggestions in the numerous threads and nothing is working

yes I am following the instructions in the manual and they have the reminder screen if you try to do it with the engine running!

Well while out running errands a while ago, I kept trying the sequence before starting.
  1. bring up the screen for reset by pressing right arrow key
  2. confirm that you want to reset by pressing the down arrow
  3. Then press the right arrow key twice in rapid sequence DO NOT HOLD the key for two seconds
  4. It reset to 100% than to 99%
I guess the 2 dozen times previously I wasn't holding my mouth correctly or the Mother ship wasn't overhead in the vicinity!
Thanks for all the help.:-laf

Glad you got it to reset. Sort of gives you peace of mind knowing your count down is accurate. The buttons are not highly responsive to the touch. But yours seems to require a slight different combination than my 2013. Once you figure out the combination, tho........ :-laf

When I had mine in for it's oil change, I asked the mech about this confusion. (I had told him of my misadventure resetting the fuel nanny) He said he didn't mess with the sequence and just switch on, don't start, and 3 mellow, smooth depressions of the fuel pedal and voila, nanny reset.

Just a toy anyway, doesn't track mileage since reset even close. With the filtration system on these trucks just change annually .kind of pisses me off given the price of these trucks that half the info on the evic is a bull**** algorithm without any real sensor data.

I surfed the web and found the correct way to reset the fuel filters for 2016 Ram. Bring up fuel filter reset. Key in run engine off. On reset screen hold right arrow until confirmation screen comes up. Tap right arrow; do not hold right arrow. If you tap the right arrow the reset will come right up.
