No. My new 24v is quieter in the cab, faster than the '95 auto and '98 5spd 12v I previously owned, and electronics don't scare me anymore. I don't buy the cheapest fuel I can find, I actually look for premium diesel for the additive package, and I don't let it get below 1/4 tank before I fill up. No different than I treated my two 12v trucks. That and the 24v looks better, is easier to get to the fuel filter, doesn't require frequent valve adjustments, and my 01 came with rear discs and mags to boot! Not to mention the way the new auto is set up. Shifts are firm, it keeps the rpm up until you let off the throttle to shift to O/D (I understand some folks actually cried about this and now there's a TSB on it), it locks up the TC in 3rd even with O/D enabled, and it already has a pan deep enough to bathe a fat bottomed girl in!
