Anybody order a truck recently?

When I ordered my first one they said 6-8 weeks. Got here in 4. Just intime for Christmas. Second truck took a bit longer. Again told 6-8 weeks, got here in about 11.

Its been BX for 10 days now. Still waiting. Dealer said all his quad cabs seem to be delayed. He has one QC Larame "H" package (like mine) that was ordered Oct 17 that just went "D" yesterday so he Guesses mine will change today or early next week.



I am going up to pickup my Jake Brake today (only day I have off where Cummins is open between now and end of year). $1K from Cummins with the Powermasters 10% discount.



Big question is should I lock on Novembers $1500 + $1000 bonus or wait and see what December will bring? I am not a good gambler. November already is $1K better then Octobers prices were, but GM started discounting big time again in November so will Dodge follow in Dec? or will they offer additional discounts in financing which don't help me. GM seems to be discounting in the cost of the truck, but not that good in the rebates. I already am paying cost, so It only helps me if the rebates go up.

Mine seems delayed as well. I ordered on oct 31st and have an estimated build date of Nov 30th. I wonder how long it will take DSM to get it after that. I am thinking Dodge will have better rebates in December one since chevy just came out with larger rebates and two selling vehicles near Christmas time is hard to do with people spending there money elsewhere. I hate the waiting.

Mine went D1 this morning. Dodge did not have a build date. I called the dealer and he said "I checked it this morning and it was still D", so it must have gone D1 between 8:00 when he looked and 9:30 when I called Dodge. Wouln't be long now

I called today and mine is now D1, but what was weird is when I called the first time they told me estimated build date of nov30. Now that I am D1 no build date avalible . So how close is D1 to actually being built more important how long till I can get it Oo. I have the gotta have it's real bad :-laf

Wish I knew. I called the Dealer later and his computer still showed D but the guys at Dodge said D1 with no build date.



Dealer did say a QC he had on order which had order accepted 10/14 was shipped 11/24, were getting close. Fireman, if you look at your vin, the first digit tells you where its being built. 1 is US, 3 is Mexico. Mine is a 3.

This is strange, the Guys at the Dodge hotline say my truck has been through Paint and is in trim, with no ship date. They also say the log has not been updated yet today so it might be through trim.



I call the dealer for more information, his computer still shows my truck in D status "firm schedule - dealer has allocation and all parts available". As everybody said, "the waiting is the hardest part". My bets are once it ships I will loose track of it until it shows up at the dealer.

You need to know your VON number, then have them create a "file" for you and get that number for when you call next time (file number makes it a lot easier)

Ordered mine from Tomeygun on 11/21/05. He told me it went "D" status last week. Just what do the different codes like "D", "D1", etc. mean? What's the typical code "flow" as your truck makes it down the line?

I ordered mine on 10-31-05, I was told two weeks later it would ship 11-18-05. I called to day to get the rail car # and trace. It shipped on 11-17-05. The railcar is in town today. The dealer take transprts on Friday and Saturday I hope I will see it this week. I will trace in the am and see if it was spoted at the yard to unload.

I ordered a J and I Ranch Hand steel bed for my 97 2500 4x4 last week so it will be like having two new trucks.

Wow you sure did get a quick delivery. I ordered mine around that time and mine is D1 I will know more tommorrow.

I am about to give up on this Dodge hot line. I called back today to figure out why they have different information then the dealer (but they keep saying to call the dealer as they have MORE information). I checked to see if they had the same VIN as my truck, which they did. The girl on the line this time said they don't have any way to know if its in paint, trim or what (so I guess the last guy was BS'in me). This is two times now Dodge told me it was being built when really it looks like its still just a bunch of parts waiting in line. If it don't get built this week Its not going to get here by Christmas. Now what am I going to give myself for Christmas

The rail car was spotted at 1:11am today. I hope they can off load and get to the dealer by Friday. It is a 8 mile trip by transport truck. I am going to start pulling the stuff of the Ford I am trading in.

Mine is supposed to ship Dec 2. It's being built in Mexico. Looks like it goes to New Orleans from there (assuming the info on dodgeram.org is still accurate), then hopefully quickly to me here in Pensacola. Wonder how long it will take??? My salesman is on vacation and won't be back until Dec 5th. The guy in his place isn't seeming very helpful with more info. #ad

Well I am really bummed out now. Just got off the phone with Dodge they were no help in fact he did not want to even check. So I called my sales guy at DSM. Well my truck is built and being sent to storage no rail cars avalible. Sales guy says after christmas into Jan. of next year. That BITES :{

I agree. I was talking to the dealer today, he did find an 06 3500 2wd 6spd SRW sport/thunder road truck sitting in storage he can get me. Only thing its missing is power tow mirrors. Another problem is when you lease them, the Laramie has more value at the end of the lease, so the SLT and Laramie almost cost the same per month! Still leaning towards the one I have on order. It will get here sooner or later.



Those of you calling the Dodge hot line. I am hearing something different every time I call. Its D1, its in trim, build date Dec 13, etc, etc. Dealer still shows D with no dates. 5 weeks and counting. They said I would have it in 8 weeks.
