Hey JTryles that is great yours is almost in boy if mine were in I think I would even take greyhound if I could not fly.

Oh, I'll get there... one way or another! ;)

Also, Tomeygun said that as of 3pm yesterday it was sitting on the truck there at the dealer (waiting to be unloaded I assume)!! Oo. Oo. :p :p :D :D

Has anyone ever called union pacific rail road. My sales guy is no help,Dodge says truck has shipped. Wondering if my vin number is enough to find it with them or do I need the rail car number.

What is the lead time looking like for those who have gotten yours?? I ordered mine the end of December, salesman said around 8 weeks. My 04. 5 only took 6 weeks.

Ordered: 11/21/05

Built: 12/13/05

Delivered to Dealer: 01/06/06

46 days from order to delivery at dealership (Lou Fusz- St. Louis, MO)

Figure another week for dealer prep.

I'm hoping to pick it up on 01/18/06! Oo.

I remember that when I ordered my 2000 back in the fall of '99 it took like 9 weeks to get!

ordered October 24th,built Nov 25th still waiting for a rail car ordered from Dave Smith. Maybe I should have gone to St Louis.

Fireman, I read where someone else had ordered an 06 with 3:73's but it came with 4:10's. Wonder if they were out of 3:73's and ours sat waiting?

you know at this point I would believe anything. I hope I do not fly all the way to Idaho and the truck is not right. I do have the offical invoice copy and it just says limited slip not 4:10 option. I also poke around the other forums and it seems the chevy guys are having rail car problems too. So hopefully I have it before the end of this month. Can't imagine it would take too long to deliver once it gets on the rails.

got an update today.

Still "sitting on the dock of the bay" in mexico. he still thinks its going to be here 1/23 :{

Well, it's confirmed... picking it up on the 18th! Bill Miller from Lou Fusz called last night, I guess Tomeygun is too busy with the new job so he will be picking me up from the airport and finishing the sale.

Not very exciting news to hear it's taking forever and a day to recieve the truck that is ordered for you..... only slightly wishes that I could find the excact thing locally. Oh well more time to look for upgrades.

Well would you believe this. I just got a rail car number. I tried to use the union pacific rail trace page but I only have digits no letters. The site says two-four letters followed by one-six numbers. I have a six digit car number. Sales guy said 3 weeks from now my truck will be in. Trains move to slow.

Well I figured out the rail car thing. You put in the cars letters then numbers. Kinda of cool been watching my truck go all over Texas now it is in Arkansas. Hey at least it is progress. Better then still being in Mexico.

Yippe; looks like mine is finally on the way also. It'll be in New Orleans tomorrow morning then on to Birmingham the 14th. I guess from there it's on to a truck transport to head to my dealer. Kind of weird though. New Orleans is 195 miles from Pensacola yet Birmingham is 247 miles away. Oh well.

Well, my warm and fuzzy feeling is starting to diminish. Tomeygun has turned my sale over to Bill Miller there at Lou Fusz. Today while trying to get a final invoice price while at my bank, so they could cut the check I talk to Bill. He's in the service department with the guys spraying my Line-X. They did under-the-rail even though I'd asked at least 5 times for over-the-rail. I hear the service guy in the background saying something about how if I want to change my mind it will cost me another $200 because they have to re-spray it. I very politely inform Bill that i had asked for over-the-rail in at least 5 e-mails to Tom. The last e-mail was cc:'d to Bill also. He looks it up and sure enough I'm right so he says they will cover the re-spray cost. That's good! I'm just hoping Tomeygun has forwarded the rest of the stuff I wanted along. I will not have a chance to make things right once I have flown down there! Also, which ever of the financial managers that was there that spoke with the loan officer at my credit union was VERY rude to my bank. Not cool. Tomeygun. . if you are still reading up on this thread... I know you are busy but if you can poke your head in at the dealership... please make sure this is going along as we'd planned! OK- rant mode off! :)

On edit- I asked for the following accessories:

1: Line-X (over the rail)

2: HD rubber mud flaps

3: Rear wheel well liners

4: High-idle kit

I'l be down there next Wednesday- we'll see what I end up with.

Hope it works out for you. Curious, what is the High idle kit you refer to?
