Oo. Yippee!! Well today at 10am I go and pick-up my new truck today. Ordered it on 10-28-05, sat in storage since 11-28 but she is finally here Oo. Oo.

Talked to my sales rep. today and she said the truck has a ship date of 01/13/06, so how accurate are the ship dates?

Oredered thru DSM, ID.

All I got was a build date and then a heads-up it had crossed in to Texas about two weeks before it arrived. Sorry can't be anymore insightful then that!

I ordered from DSM and was not given a ship date. was told only thing worth while is when you get a rail car number

Don't get too excited over a rail car number. I've been tracking mine the last few days and it's experiencing delays there too. :(

Mine is going backwards now. At one point I was told it was moved by rail car to the docks where it is sitting waiting to be loaded on a boat.

Now they are saying its still at the plant in Salsa Mexico on hold since Jan 7th, (keep in mind it was built on Dec 10).

Dodge still says it will be here jan 23  .

He said he was going to call the zone rep and see what the problem is.

At what point do I give up?

I hope that is not what happens to mine. I was given a rail car number and have been watching it go all over. It is now in Illinois has been sitting there since 0545 yesterday I do not know what time zone they are using. But I would be a little upset if mine were actually still in Mexico and I am watching a train car for nothing. That was actually my wife's little funny a couple of days ago she says watch it won't be on there at all. She might be right. (boy that would be hard to live with for a while)

I tracked my truck up to Ohio when it appeared to be just sitting in a rail yard for five days. It never showed that it was taken off the train, but my salesman called and told me it was here.

Like I said at the very beginning of this thread, go about your life, and forget about it. You are doing no good beating yourself up over the delivery. DC doesn't care about the delivery of sold vehicles, period. If they cared, they would improve the process.

Welcome to pergatory!!

Hope it works out for you.

All, Just FYI... . Tomeygun PM'd me a bit ago and assured me everything was staightened out. I'm confident it will all work out when I get down there on Wednesday. I will, of course, let you all know when I return and hopefully get a picture posted of the new "baby". :D

Hey towpro maybe it hitched a ride out west with mine. . hahahaha, yours will probably pop up at the dealer soon. Seems like a lot of trucks have shipped out.

well I have been watching mine it is now in Oregon it is supposed to drop in either Portland,Or or Spokane Wa. My invoice says Oregon but seems wierd why there and then truck 500 miles back to Idaho versus Spokane.

Little update on mine. Ordered the very end of Dec, as of today has a ship date of Jan 31, I also have the VIN. Being built in Mexico, should be here the second week in Feb.

Maybe it has to do with the rail routes. When I checked two weeks ago my truck was on a railcar in Cheyenne Wyoming which matched a major rail crossroads for Union Pacific and would enter Canada through Kent Washington, which appears to be another major rail center for Union Pacific. Of course Kent isn't on the Canadian border, but I'm guessing that's where they put it on a truck and sent it up. According to the Union Pacific website they show both Portland and Spokane as major rail centers, perhaps the route depends on how many trucks they have on that train going to a certain part of the country.

My truck arrived at the dealer today, 8 weeks to the day from when I ordered it. Of course now I have until Feb 28th to wait before I fly out and pick it up. If it had taken the 12 weeks I was expecting it would be only 2 weeks to wait. I'm not complaining, really, just whining just a little bit :{

Fireman, if you look on your invoice (at the end) from DSM, they have a couple of charges and it has something to do with Portland.

When I asked my sale rep. she could not give me an answer but she said all DSM trucks have that charge.

yeh I saw those but my budy bought one from DSM and his came out of Spokane a whole lot closer then Portland but we shall see. Watching the rail car info it says it won't arrive until the 22nd so we shall see.
