Oh please explain this one to me.
The new trucks have Rack and Pinion steering on the 2wd models. Although I only drove it around 30 miles I could notice the difference in how it steers right away. As far as the tire pressure, I could tell it was high because the way the steering felt. Anyway, on the way home I hit the same bump that always jarred my teeth in the 02 and it was so much smoother!
The engine is so quiet. I had a 98, then an 02. The 02 was much noisier then the 98. I have a 12 year old Daughter who talks way to quiet, now I can hear her. Also the change from 245 HP to 325 HP can be felt right away

.
The trans shifts nice, and I feel the gear ratio choice is correct. It feels like it really likes running between 1500-2000, but the engine is still tight.
Driving country roads home the Overhead was saying 20mpg but I hear that can't be trusted. I went and filled it up to get some winterized diesel added to the mexican fuel it came with.
No rattles could be heard on first drive. Paint looks great, but I am heading out to put a coat of wax on it today in the heated garage
Last night I installed the tono cover and front mud flaps to keep the stones off the side. Still have the rear mud flaps, nurf bars, snow tires, exhaust brake, and trailer hitch left to install, plus I have to design the bracket for the Jordan since this has the new style moving pedals. Got the Sirius turned on and the garage door opener programed. Once I get the hitch installed I have to take it back off so I can get the Linex liner installed. Got to go back to the dealer and sign the rest of the paperwork. I need to get them to clean under the hood also, it covered with this white dust.
Yes the wait was way to long. I even caught myself driving through the GM lot more then once. (never did go near the ford lot though, I get to hear about all the problems my brother has with his 04 :-laf ).
