D*mn, I thought I was doing bad at 21 and 220. I am 6'1', and cantake the wieght off just as fast as I can pack it on. THis is the time of year I gain weight- just after all the food gifts. I have found that in addition to situps, you also have to do push ups, leg raises, and do a little running. I am down from 235 first week of December.
I went to the Univ of MO- Columbia on a NROTC scholarship (later dropped it because of too much political a$$ kissing), and did PTs under guidance of a Marine Gunnery Sgt. Lost 20# in three weeks. I had no adverse side effects, and kicked a$$ in NIRA (college) rodeos. I have a goal of 195-200 by St Pat day (1. 5 mo), and then give Jerome Robinson a call and see if he has any bulls I can practice on. Why let $800 of gear sit and gather dust?
Currently, my routine consists of starting with 50 each of: leg raises, push ups, sit ups, crunches, and the deal where you place your legs like you're gonna do more sit up, then raise your waist until your torso is level, then raise each foot, then drop down, repeat. (My fiancee likes to watch me do those). then I have a lawn mower wheel on a bar- get on all fours, gripping the bar, then roll out till body is 4-8" off the floor, roll back. Then after 50 of each, work until you can do no more, rotating ini sets of 20-40. Should take nomorethan half hour. If you are too soft, (no offense intended) start with 25 or as many as you can. gotta start somewhere. Then drink a glass of water or OJ when done. Then cut back on the 12 oz curls. ANd cut the chips, cookies, chocolate, etc. Not completely, just back. Should see and feel a difference w/in 2 weeks.
No pain, no gain. I have not felt too much pain this week (food poisoning) so I have not gained too much on either side of the battle.
