Better Luck than me

I use my truck for maintenance and plowing at a boy scout camp (full time job) and my first set of OEM Michelins were bald in 11,000 miles and plowing on icy roads has really done my Goodyears in. I have had three sets of Wrangler AT's, and TD's and only have 59,000 miles on my 1998.

I had a set of Mastercraft C/Ts in 285/75R-16D and got 62000 out of them. I replaced them with Firestone Steeltex RS4 265/75R-16E simply because I had two of them given to me as brand new (long story) so I just bought two more to make the set. My fuel mileage is a tad bit better with the RS4, but that was no surprise. I've got 17,000 on them now and I am HOPING I can get 15000 more out of them, but I have my doubts.

Next time, I'll buy another set of the Mastercrafts. They were a bit noisy and more expensive but they had a 3305 pound capacity per tire, so they were okay for the fiver, but good enough for off road and farm stuff too.

Any word on the Toyo all terrains? They are what CORE puts on their trucks, and they look nice. Should proform nice, I just don't know about the wear. How many miles could one expect out of a set?
