Got to thinking bout it -
I went out and looked at the sticker they put on there (required when flashed). It gave the current "ECM" part number, and didn't state 18-24-00 so i looked up the invoice, and did confirm that it was indeed the 18-24-00 reflash, they only right the ECM flash under the hood. The other numbers I found on the sticker matched the TSB 18-24-00 and it was done 5-10-01.
There are people with good experiences, and people with bad experiences on reflashes, so its hard to really say, I can only speak from my personal experience on my truck, fuel milage is the same and power seems to be the same... . but I had the PE on before the flash soooo who knows?
Off the TSB : The Engine Control Module (ECM) software, on a 2001 Ram Truck equipped with a 5. 9L-24V diesel engine, is designed to "torque manage" the power output of the engine. This is done to protect the automatic transmission components. The revised software calibration restores the power output and improves the vehicle performance in overdrive.
