Well, I got a deal I didn't think I could pass up and just ordered some Mickey Thompson Classic II's... kind of old school, but I like the way they look. While I'm waiting, I thought I would check if anyone is running them. I'm getting the 17x9, which is 5in backspacing. Stock is 6in, right?

I'm going to put my current 305/65R17 Procomp Xtreme A/T's on them for now. I assume I won't have any problem with them sticking a little further out and possibly rubbing? At some point later, I want to go to 35's and a Kore lift.

Anyone using these wheels with 33" or 35" tires with or without lift? Any rubbing? If so, where?

I have the classic II's from MT. Seem to be good tough wheels. They stick out a bit but to me it makes the truck look great. I am not one for aftermarket wheels on a 4x4 to stay completely under the truck.

No rubbing with no lift or level here. I run 33" mickey tires also. 35's you'll need at least a level kit or you will rub.

Thanks JW. Just going to the Procomp's, mine stuck out a bit, and I'm assuming these wheels will push it out another inch? Either way, I too like that look. And yes, I figured before 35's I'll be doing a Kore.

Disreguard the spacing on the front set of wheels I have a set of dually spacers on them for pulling.

And yes I know they're dirty!:)

I have Mickey Thompson Classic IIs with Pro Comp 35" MT tires on stock (for now) suspension. There was a little bit of rubbing on the wheel well liner. I cut a little of it out and now there's no rubbing at all.

JW, I love your truck. Mine is a red Laramie non-sport (so chrome grill and bumper). If I had it to do over again and had more selection (I bought mine in early 06 and wanted an 05 because I didn't like the 06 front end), I would have ordered a black sport laramie like yours! I really like the all black with the chrome laramie billets. nice!

(Robin... I nominate that pic for one of the calendar pages next year!)

I've got a 2" Tuff Country steel spring spacer with 35s. The only time I get rubbing is at full tilt over a bump. Not the best pics of them, though.
