Bill, As someone with a complete lack of knowledge about torque-convertors, I just want to know what convertor/VB I should use when my stock Y2K RAM fails with a "PE EZ" and a stock auto transmission. It already 'shudders' when shifting into 3rd, but pulls pretty well in 4th. In OD it seems OK.
But I plan on adding about 50 more HP and 100 lbs more torque with 275'HP RV injectors.
I don't care if you are a student, or a teacher, can this conbination work?

robbyram , with just a EZPE your stock trans should be fine for many miles . i put about 20k miles on my 2000 with alot more power than you and had "0" transmission problems other than horsepowering (is this a word ??) thru the stock convertor ( ie: my rpm drop was almost nothing at full throttle with all my toys on). i don't really tow much so maybe i'm not the norm, did make probably 30 1/4 mile passes though . i don't think there is a 50 hp increase in the 275's , i experienced more HP with the VA than the 275's , haven't proved this on the dyno so i may be wrong , i'll have to look thru my time slips to see if i can figure out what i saw on the dragstrip dyno .

i'll let bill answer what you need to do , but don't wait till you have major problems to fix it . your shudder in third is it during the gear change or when the TC locks ? what fluid is in the trans and when did you last change it ?

Herbie2, are you serious???? Bill is successful because he is a master at his craft... research & develpoment of automatic transmissions and systems, searching for and finding solutions to problems that others have failed to properly address (including DC). As stated before (by me) he is by far the best vendor I have ever dealt with! Total customer satisfaction is paramount with Bill as well as all other DTT employees.

No time? Keep in mind Bill is not the Webmaster of his site and that he has only been in business for a little over seven months. Research and development takes quite a bit of time to properly develop and tweak a product... that way it isn't prematurely "launched" for sale thereby making the customer finish the R&D process. I called Bill last evening (at home no less) to discuss several things with him... an hour later I finally got off the phone. At no time did he ever make me feel like he had something he would rather be doing... as stated before, total customer satisfaction.
