E7mack96,

Piers' web site has a good explaination of the turbo. It is a modified HX-35 machined out with a larger pin wheel on the compression side. It is suposed to give faster spool up and is designed to be used with set ups under 350 hp(??). You can read about it on his site or do a search for it.

The PDR HX-35 turbo that is on sale is a hybrid that has been designed by Piers himself. It is my understanding that the larger compressor wheel in this turbo will help lower EGT levels at higher horsepower applications :D But check it out at the above link for yourself!

Piers Diesel Research HX35 turbo, is a modified Holset HX35 turbo that comes stock on most our trucks. You can read about it on piers site. -- In short he leaves the exhaust side stock, and on the compressor side installs a much larger pinwheel and machines the housing to match each individual pinwheel.

The result is an HX35 with a bigger efficiency map. Flows more air for lower EGT's and spools up really fast. You want one if you are towing, or BOMBing to the 350-400 hp range. Above that you need one of the HX40 variants.

He!! Yes! With my DD TTPM (DD's version of the Edge EZ... set to: all fuel in @ 3 psi) and my modified Banks 14 cm&sup2 turbine housing, I have virtually no turbo lag. :D Additionally, Piers' Super Turbo lowered my EGTs and speeded up the cool down process before shutdown.

..... reasons enough for me! :D

Thanks Piers!
