Anyone running aftermarket rims?

When I bought my '05 truck previous O. had put different 4 the gen Laramie rims on it. But they are all scuffed up/ damaged finish by some gorrilla Tire changer idiot id guess.

I cant find any aftermarket rims that have even close to factory , back spacing/ offset.

Any ideas? P.S. I hate all the starwars looking , ugly rims, designed by some 5 year old. I like classic old skool

like these : "Ultra brand type 164" but best I can find is they advertise 4.5" back spacing. Not sure what back spacing are in the picture#ad

I've always liked the Hummer H2 rims. I've bought a few sets for very cheap, back when new take-offs were plentiful. The local welding shop soda blasted them and powdercoated them pretty reasonably. I've got photos of them black, but they're sort of hard to see. This one set had nearly new tires still on them.

NOTE: You do need to open the center bore a bit to get them to fit. Ram center caps also require some modification.

Can you Post a pic of you truck instead of ad pics

I live in the boonies and will never find any H2 hims. If I do some hillbilly will have them for sale for $5000 each
Though I like the back space/ offset specs (below). Why cant aftermarket wheel manufactures make rims with those specs ?

So far, I gathered this info:

Hummer H2 Wheels:
Size: 17" x 8.5"
Bolt Pattern: 8x6.5
Off-set: 18 MM
Backspacing: 5.5"
Weight Rating: 3200-3500 lbs per rim
Hub Size: ???

Stock Wheels:
Bolt Pattern: 8x6.5
Size: 17" x 8"
Offset: ??
Backspacing: 6.25"
Weight Rating: ???
Hub Size: 4.767"

I am running Mickey Thompson Rims SideBiter II 17". But they are not available anymore, the rims were rated for a higher load carrying ability then now. They were bought in 2015, still look like new. They are not used in the winter/snowy months stored in the garage and the stock rim and tires are used in the winter months.

They do offer a newer model called MT Canyon Pro Satin Black in 17-18-20, inches with a good load carrying ability. I would order these today if I had to replace my current Mickey Thompson rims.

My tires that I am using with the Mickey Thompson rims is Nitto Dura Grappler LT285/70R/17 126R tires.

No pic's sorry.

Personally, I like the stock rims. My truck had the steel tradesman rims. I found a set of 2008 takeoffs with 40K original miles on it, the guy was going all blackout and so I bought his OEM wheels. Proper offset and all, caps and lugnuts, it was $400 for the 4 in 2018. Shaved 17 lbs each off the weight of each of the tire/wheel assys going to the alloy wheels. I could feel the difference when hitting bumps.

I cant stand black rims. Thanks for the help, but just dont like any of those styles at all , Yuk :D. Im old school
About the only new design style rim I could stand is Raceline Monster , or a couple other race lines styles but dont want the bead lock or fake bead lock and they all the have is a 4.5" backspace and -X offset

Method could like and could be a option, but they dont offer machined alum finish , just Black Yuk , or Gold Yuk and boy they a $$pricey proud of those

I just dont get the Black rim fascination. what is the point ... Ugly. Might as well just have stock steel rims painted black:D

I bought a sat of 18" pro-comp wheels that match (kinda) the sweet wheels on the kenworth I run at work. Off-set is s prob but I like fenders so I'm good.

My brother always tells me he hates my black rims. I have a 66 Fairlane with chrome cragars that satisfies my shiny side.
To each his own. Low profile super wide rims are all the rage here in Texas.
