I have found a lot of different style direct replacement LED headlights for sale. Some have one or two big LED and some have many small ones. They have a big range in price from Chinese $55 to US $500 each!!!!! Naturally the $500 (found some of them for $330 from Canada) are advertised as OEM for semi trucks. Reading the feedback on some of the cheaper, many small LED versions, they don't seem to reach out with the light, but are very bright up close and around the truck and don't seem to be DOT approved (probably because of the up close brightness). There seems to be Chinese copies of they OEM ones, but you know how that can go... Anybody try these and thoughts please?

I have these in my '92: http://www.maxxima.com/products/pro...quot-LED-Headlamp-Dual-Beam.html#.V1YJtr5yhIE

I purchased them from the Kenworth dealer near Casper, WY for $205 each. It was hard to part with that kind of cash, but I swear that I'll never use a dim yellow POS halogen headlight ever again!! They are 100% DOT compliant and have amazing output for the driver and don't blind oncoming traffic. I became a believer in them after I saw the shadow of my tires while being followed by a truck that had a set. FYI, I had my high beams on!!

The only drawback is they don't fit the headlight bucket, so you'll have to do a bit of trimming on the backside. Otherwise, they are definitely worth the coin!!

Thanks for the info. Along with all the visibility benefits, I believe they draw lower amps so the marginal OEM headlight circuit should more then handle the load. I will have to stop in some of the local truck dealerships to take a look at what they stock.

I went HID's Because I researched them and they look like they have just as good of Light output but Don't cost as Much . and they have the extra light's on the edge you can light up also .
