Ressurrected from a search.

Our truck's p. o. used ps and suggested we do the same. I have nothing to compare as I continue to use it every fill-up. I carry the large jug and a 2 stroke oil measuring cup, but will replace that with a cardboard six-pack carrier pre-loaded with pre-measured 7 or 8 oz loads. As a noobie I sure like the search function on this site!!

Marvel Mystry Oil?, I add stanadyne for the ability to emulsify water and not damage the injectors. I also add Lucas lube to lube the internals of the pump, since they reduced the sulfur [lube] in the diesel fuel. Run in the passat, 92, and the 03. Is the Marvel a good idea also, for what reason? Anybody know what the claim is. Thanks Tim

Stanadyne Performance Formula does not "emulsify" water. When you put some water into a small jar of diesel fuel, and shake it up violently, it breaks the water down into small droplets, and it becomes emulsified with the fuel. That is a bad thing!

Stanadyne will "de-emulsify" water, so that the filters will be able remove the water, and not have it go through to do damage to the fuel system. You want the filtration system to be able to do it's job. Stay away from additives that say they emulsify the water...

I have used Power Service since the VP-44 was changed at 12,000 miles. Now have 81,000 miles & no problems. Out of the 81,000 miles 75,000 have been pulling the RV.
