Anything in San Antonio area in the near future?

It’d be great to have a get together of some sort (dyno day / drags / b. s. session) between Thanksgiving & Christmas in the San Antonio area.



So, is there anything going on?



Any suggestions?

Keep an eye open there might be something. Most of the events happen in the Dallas area or Houston area.

San Antonio is a dead town... Closest place would be Austin, if you want to get some people together... That is a happening town!

You’re not joking about SA being dead! There just doesn’t seem to be that many BOMBED trucks down here. It’s only every once in a while that I’ll hear a straight piped truck. I’ve been to last two dyno-days in SA & to the drags in Marion & the turn out seemed low. A lot of those trucks were from out of town. And you can forget about any BOMBED 1st gens in these parts.



Maybe someday more people will come around.

Doug... let me know if ya ever want to hang out. . there are a few of us around the SA area. . Jim Avery has a first gen, which he ran like 204 HP on the dyno... I love his truck! Anyways, PM me if ya ever want to hang out and have a beer or something!

Almost forgot about Jim. Yeah, he sure does have a nice clean first gen! Found a pic of his truck from the May dyno event in SA, but was unable to attach it .



Chris, the two things I remember about your truck – is that thing put down some serious numbers & that bad boy makes SMOKE:--)



I sure wouldn’t mind getting together with a few folks on a Saturday afternoon & talking diesels for a few hours . . Kinda like a support group…Yeah!

No there are not many trucks around that are bombed and most of them are Fords , it always brings a smile to my face to see Chris screaming down 281 smokeing out all the other cars and it would be nice to see more trucks.

You mean this morning? I always tear out of there... save the white smoke built up in the exhaust from idling till I get out there on the big road and LET 'ER RIP! Had I known it was you, I would have moved over... What were you doing up so early??

IT would be nice to get something going in San Antonio. I have to

admit that it will be hard for me to go to anything. With the help of

some good friends, my wife and I are building are own house. I

will try to make any get togethers.

Can you guys think of anyone else who might be interested in a B. S session, I mean "diesel support group"?



Be great to get together on one of these Saturdays before Christmas. Especially December 20, cause that’s when my sister-in-law comes in for the holidays.

That would be great to meet everyone from around here. I know there are a few fords lurking around this area, as well as a few Dmaxes too... I think it would be cool to have a get together, say at a state park, where we can have some BBQ, a nice wide and open area for parking the trucks for all to see, as well as a place to camp out, and stuff like that. . anyone interested?

Leon Springs is fairly central location. These are only suggestions. If anyone can come up with something better please chime in.

January is good with me . Main thing is I'd like to get something started in the SA area once a month or every other month. Does Rudys in Leon Spings January 10th sound okay? BBQ & diesels sounds like a good combo to me . I'm not even sure if that Rudys is still open due to the flood a few years ago.
