I've read in one of the T-Rex suspension posts that the snow plow springs are 2 inches longer when compressed with the same weight as the stock springs. If this is the case, it should raise the front just the right amount to not need any spacers or levelers. With that said I have two questions:

Are the thrid gen "snow plow" shocks really 2" longer?

If so, are they included in the AHD option if ordered?

Since I am in california, there is not much expertise in this area. This is my first post and I am totally sold on the TDR family. I intend to buy a new 04. 5 in the next couple of months.

Welcome! I've read that the snow plow prep will add almost an inch of height but I've also heard that it's not even available for the quad cab. Anybody know otherwise?

My o4 has the snow plow prep group

Window sticker says:

Heavy Duty Snow plow Prep Group

Skid plate shield-Transfer case ... ... ... ... $130

It included the wire harnes to where ever the plow mounts and yes, i think it is a bit higher. Mine is a non Calif Truck. It also came at no extra charge the famous Patriot Blue paper thin paint job that had primer showing through at every edge and behind every corner!

They won't raise your truck much at all, they just have a different rate and won't sag as much with a plow. I've wondered what would be wrong with removing the rear spring spacers if you arent ever really hauling much. I'd rather lower the rear than raise the front to level my truck. I was going to order an 04 instead of buying one off the lot, I bought the lot truck. when we were puting together the order the snow plow prep was available for the quads and was around $110. I eyeballed a truck on the lot that had the option and couldn't see any difference.
