I noticed a co-workers "new" Ram (a used '01. 5 2500 QC SWB 4x4 24v CTD) the other day that seemed to be sitting a little low in the front... like a 1500. Hmmm... my curiousity got the better of me so I checked out his front coils. Huh? An 038 passenger and an 039 driver spring? That was too weird!
After wondering what the ding, dang deal was...
I talked to my buddy with a '99 2500 QC 4x4 LWB (V-10). After relaying the above information to him we went and checked out just what he had sitting under his front end... 038 passenger/039 driver. The morons at the factory screwed up (IMO) on the springs they put under the first truck I detailed above... never before have I heard of this light spring combination with a CTD up front!
On my own '98. 5 2500 QC 4x4 LWB Ram, the factory wouldn't let me order the Snow Plow Prep Group with the QC AND the Diesel engine... AND THE 046/047 springs! (

) Sooo, I got the 039 passenger/046 driver springs.
Fast forward to present. I purchased 047/048 springs that I'm using at the passenger/driver positions, respectively.
Heh,heh, heh, finally, like Burger King I'll have it MY way!
... powder coated gloss black to boot!
