I read somewhere the spin-on filter goes onto a plastic nipple, so go easy on it.

I had not done an auto trans change without a drain plug. Why would they not have a drain plug?? I left a couple bolts in for it to "hinge" on which dumped a lot, but it's still messy. I bought an aftermarket pan with drain plug installed so it will be much easier/neater job next time.

The spin on filter had a plastic nipple sticking out, maybe they separate not sure, kinda reminds me of my 12V fuel heater screen filter threads, it's a small nipple deal.

It basically looks crooked in the filter housing and it seemed.cross threaded right away but I got it.

The tipping the pan is not horrible guess they have been that way for ever. I also went with the replacement.

Thanks for sharing.

Timd32 be happy you have hair to get ATF into! Mine may be Grey but at 44 I’m happy to have hair.

Forget air tools 12V98 ! Milwaukee Fuel impacts are the cats Meow. I have 3/8”, 1/2” and 3/4” drive. I’ll sell my antique air impacts….

Would be cool to be able to buy a kit with all the correct fluid in it.

Let's dream and say no shortages, it is kinda a pain when you don't know exactly what you need to just grab a sku with just everything you need for service.

It's not hard to figure it out, but guess I'm just lazy at times to look it all up. Then finding a place that carries it all.

Just finished my road trip to go from NJ to MO for that Willys wagon.

Worked out really well. Shifted good, ran good.

Glad I serviced this prior to the trip, between this and the Brake thread I really appreciate the help. It does save me time for sure.

Probably time to order a Cummins, my largest complaint and maybe it will be the same with a Diesel, but fuel access with the trailer can be a little tricky in some stations. I found at times I had to pull in and back out at most places. Kinda just make it work.

But I can see delays at the Diesel pumps, don't want to derail my own thread. Just saying.

Gas mileage needs to be hand calculated from the records, that's not the real number.

Here is an empty slip from last year, I always do a full tank of fuel and I'm not in the vehicle for all these. Just how I did them try to be consistent.

So I did not remove any weight this time from the front axle from what I can tell. I made that mistake last time and took a little off where the one van was on the trailer.

The I beam trailer does not have a lot of weight distribution options, I have the lift gate on there, it's a gasser, so kinda is what it is.
