OK, so I'm on my quest to pick a color for a new truck. I use my truck offroad regularly and the manzanita bushes and assorted obsticles take their toll on my paint. On my '99 I have light driftwood, a perfect color for covering up those scratches, but not available on a 2004. 5.
I was focusing on the light colors, but I don't want white or silver and the light almond is a little too blah for me... reminds me of my parents' Camry. So, I was thinking Atlantic blue is a bit lighter than the patriot blue, and if I got silver 2-tone on the bottom, that would at least cover up the gravel damage some, but will the blue still be a pain to keep looking good in a scratch prone environment? I had a teal Jeep once (about the same darkness maybe a tad lighter) that showed scratches pretty bad but once I waxed it, they just disappear.
So, anyone with Atlantic blue that uses their vehicle offroad and has scratched it up some want to comment on its scratch-hiding ability, or lack thereof?
