Ok Maybe some one will have a little insight for me.

My buddies truck is a 99 2500, automatic, extended cab 8 foot box.

We started with a Banks kit. Now I know most of you guys don't like Banks, but the truck ran good. It's the TLC power pack. turbine, intake, exhaust, brake, computer. The truck ran real good. Then we installed the 275 injectors, and the PDR hybrid turbo. Truck ran great. Trans blew up, had it rebuilt, and installed a Banks converter. the thing ran better then ever.

Now comes the problem. We wanted to get the EGT's down a bit more, and get some of the turbo lag to go away. So we added an ATS 3 piece manifold.

Now along the way there were some probems with map sensors. we determined it to be the KnN filter. The oil was getting sucked off the filter and screwing up the sensors. so at the same time as the ATS we also added an AFE intake. Now the truck runs like garbage. barely builds 25 psi boost. the other day getting on the highway, the transmission shifted into od, the turbo seemed to bark back and she fell on her face.

so any suggestions. other then an exhaust leak?

When you had the turbo off any way you may have cut the rubber hose going to wastegate? You could have a bad boost leak or the wastegate hung open both of these would lower your boost.

These are actually the two things that i thought of today.

how ever does anyone know if the banks computer fuels based on boost. basically i am wondering if the computer was actually not fueling bc it's not seeing the boost.

This may be a dumb question but the banks ottomind uses the pyromiter to get some of it's information. did you install it in the new manifold?

You have a pm from me
