Has anyone done any testing to see if the ATS manifold reduces Egt. s itself?

I know a lot of people have put these on along with a turbo but how about by itself.

Stock power levels probably won't help much, boosted HP it should knock maybe 50F off, but by the time you're running big HP the turbo will the restriction, so you won't see much benefit from the ATS until you do something about the turbo. If you're on a budget, Piers' Bomber Lite 3G turbo is better than stock and costs less than an ATS. That's the combo I have right now and am pleased with it (unfortunately I can't comment on EGTs since I don't have gauges).

If they didn't take the turbo off they would never know it wasn't a stock turbo. Even then, some still wouldn't know.

When i ordered my ATS manifold for Silver03 it came very quickly and he is a nice guy. Great packaging (i think it was packaged already from ats) Just a good guy to do business with!

I am planning on a turbo down the road shortly, but was wondering if the extra $400 would be necessary

not gonna be really nuts on the HP just in the neighborhood of 400-450

NO GAUGES? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Agades 400hp is well beyond what your stocker should handle! (If you're talking rear wheel HP). At 400-450 you should be looking at a PDR40, DD Jammer, Bell USB or the likes. Definitely beyond the Bomber Lite turbo. If I were to put a HP range on the Bomber Lite I would say Stock to 350hp, and only higher if you don't plan to use the power much. And ONLY with GAUGES, GOT THAT? :p

Heh. . no gauges? . . yeah, Bad Vaughn. Very Bad Vaughn.

Piece of advice: Do what Vaughn says, not what Vaughn does :-laf

I beg to differ about the EGT issues and higher HP. I am currently running some pretty heavy HP stuff and the Bomber Lite( who came up with that name? ) and can use all available HP. Egt's only get real high, 1350*, WOT in 5th gear at 95 mph. I will get an ATS manifold in a couple of weeks. They must reduce EGT's, I have seen the stock and the ATS side by side and the air flow on #'s 4&5 are much improved.

Vaughn,

I thought you knew better buddy? You've been here since 1999 and still no guages. I can hit 1200* at will towing my Horse Trailer in the wifes truck. Bone stock:eek:

Hi all,

This thread seems to have died out in August. Hope that's not a bad sign. I am interested in getting an ATS manifold. Will be installing gauges soon, so it seems like a good time to do both.

I'd like to hear from those of you who are running these. How do you like it? Who's the best supplier? Anyone buy direct from ATS? Any other tips or ideas i should consider before taking the plunge?

Thanks
