:-laf Good one Scott. Hey Sled, we got a line on some dirt from a local source, should make for a good, hard track with some tack. Why do you ask?

revisions / updates

Just a heads up, I have made some revisions to the rules for the the 05 HDDR sled pull. The changes were made in the interest of the pull after some input from various competitors. The revision of concern is the change in the hanging weight rule for the street class. There is now NO hanging weight in the 7500 lb street class but it is still allowed in the 8500 lb street class. Anyone who would like an explanation of this, feel free to contact me. Other changes are DOT tires now required in the Pro Street class, and the tire size limit for the pro street class is now 37" instead of 35". I have also re-worded the hitch rules but the same basic principles apply.

There are also some updates to the event description including the schedule and the camping situation. To see the changes, go to http://www.bigpowerdiesel.com/2005_high_desert_diesel_roundup.html The rules are updated on that link as well. Get it together fellas, it will be here before you know it.

Oh, I just like to keep an eye on tracks I may be pulling at. ;)

Tentative, I might go. I am also going to get a day in at 6-flags Magic mountain.

I Did a DVD at may Madness 05,... . At this event, I Think I can get several shots of pulling and drags and the coverage of the Show and Shine there... .

I can then make a DVD of this show and sell to whoever wants one. . Hint... .

I'm thinking about going too

What RV park are most of you guys staying at? Are there very many RV parks in the area?

If you don't need hookups, I would stay at the track. There should be quite a few staying there. For anyone coming in Friday Night, the track wants all RV'ers in by 8pm Friday night as not to interfere with a convoy of rigs that will be showing up then. Otherwise, you can show anytime after 7AM Sat. morning and camp Sat. night. Camping should only be $10 per RV, and its $15 per person for a weekend pass - pretty reasonable if you ask me.

If you need hookups, try checking in Acton, there is a Thousand Trails and some others, those are about 10-15 minutes from the track. For those entering the show and shine, that is on Sunday morning, so be there early so you don't miss it.

Hey Greg, to my knowledge, you don't need reservations. What I do know is that anyone who wants to camp Friday night should get there before 8pm. They said they want all campers in by then so they don't interfere with the big rig convoy. For you in particular as a vendor, I will see to it that you don't have any trouble.

Its hard to say, last year it got a bit chilly and breezy. Either way, it should cool off at night by then at least. May still be warm during the day, its hard to say.
