How many of you folks are going to bring your rv and how many are going to stay in a motel??? I havent made up my mind yet...

Rick:

I don't have an RV, always did the motel thing when we used to do Tulare, so I will be motelling in Palmdale at the Super 8, already got my room reserved.

When I told them I knew BIG BAD DODGE, they gave me their special "sympathy rate" of $57 a nite for a single... ...

with the price of fuel, I doubt I will be driving the fire-breathing 6. 9, as it only gets 12mpg, most likely if you see a pretty straight old Mercedes 300D, metallic green, that will be me...

just got to figure out where to mount the train horns... :D :D

THE FORD GUY Oo. Oo. Oo.

also recently added a 330D Benz to the stable

RV camping

Good news on the RV camping situation. No longer should we have a problem on Friday night getting people in the track for rv camping. Previously, they wanted everyone in by 8:00 pm, it now looks like we have until at least 10 PM. So. . . . get there as soon as you can, but 10pm should be a pretty safe number. Bummer on the lot Mike. :{

I have had some inquiries regarding fresh water and a place to dump tanks. LACR has no place to fill water, so that will have to be handled ahead of time. There is a Young's RV and a Rexhall RV in Lancaster for those coming from the north, they have free dumping and are open on Sundays. They probably have water too.

well boys. it gittin closer now Oo. Oo. . i cant wait. Craig, any idea on what kind of turn out theres going to be???? any word on the dyno?

Justin

oh im ganna be there for sure. looking forward to meeting some new people. and of corse im wanting to see some dodges kickin *** !!!! hell i may even have me a new clutch in time to hit the drags!

Justin

You better get your clutch so you can come down and install it here and then we'll go hit up the event after. Break it in on the way over to LACR.

I don't think there will be a dyno this year, unless Craig can get a mobile one going on. I sure ain't going to R&E racing again if they will have some runs over there. Maybe if we get your clutch in the weekend before we can take a short trip over to Camarillo and visit the dyno over there. That guy says he does RVs and has done many diesels before so it should be a much better experience than Mr. Over-Rev @ R&E.

Joe

im going to try and have it installed down here... . i really hope there a dyno. i should be over 100hp from the last time it was dynod :D last time it was 250 hp 520 something ft/lb im hoping to see hp in the high 300's :D and by next year in the mid to high 400's :-laf :D :-laf :D oh yea and traction bars by next year too

justin

The Sponsors make it happen, I am the one to guarantee it. Hopefully we get some good entries to help cover it :--) Either way, I will make sure the purse is there. Being that this is a kids charity event, it looks like there will be a portion of proceeds going to a Hurricane Katrina fund Oo. Should be a great event.

Any word yet on a dyno facility? I've only dyno'd once, at the HDDR event last year. It was great for me because I have a manual transmission. Blew away those poor guys with autos, even though most of 'em probably have more power. They did not get a fair shake, so we can't go back there.

Thanks,

Looking forward to the event.

Neil

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to secure the dyno. One isn't ready, the other costs 4k, just can't swing it this year. You can almost be sure of it next year. This years event is shaping up to be a monster, it will only go bigger from here. Look forward to seeing you again Neil.

What time did you dyno Neil?

I was there first thing that morning and pulled 320HP and 750ft. lbs :D with my manual, but was curious on the autos as well who obviously had more power with their mods.

Even that "6x6" Duracrap that came there didn't hit his stock RWHP and he had some kind of performance box on it. Weird dyno, don't know what was up. :-laf

It's all good Craig, there are other dynos around for the meantime, I am going to be trying to hit up this one in Camarillo this weekend but we'll see how the schedule goes.
