Can anyone that has an ATS Transmission give me some feed back on their dealings with the company and if they are happy with the product. There 3 year/300,000 mile warranty seems really hard to beat.

I have a ATS transmission and am happy with it. But if you read the fine print that is just the transmission, no labour and no shipping so keep that in mind.

that's not hard to beat , mine is good for as long as I own the truck. Lost my transmission at 215k and called Dave , 2 days later a new convertor was here . can you beat that ?:D

Got 197,521 on mine & its as good as when iI put it in!!!! A friend had a issue with the torque converter (tripple lock) & they upgraded his to the five star for very little money & it was 4 years old, He loves the new converter, says its the way to go!!!!

ATS stood behind their products for me. Here's a short version of what happened. -------------

Over three and a half years ago I purchased an ATS trans, Triplelok converter and the ATS Commander controller box. I did the install but I did have problem. After some ATS trouble shooting help, ATS authorized a local affliate repair shop tow the truck, repair it and return it to me at no charge. (The shop said the valve body was the culprit)

It seemed to be fine but the gremlins returned within a month or so. One day it wouldn't backup and by the time I tried to crutch it home it wouldn't move.

 Boy was I mad. I called ATS and demanded my money back. The techician said hang on and I'll get Clint Cannon, ATS's owner right on for you. Clint was great, I believe he would have refunded my money but ended up persuading me to give his company another try.

He had my truck picked up again, express shipped a whole new trans and converter to the installer all on ATS's tab and I had the truck back on the road in about a week or so. Remember, I'm in the Atlanta area, the installers on the other side of town and ATS is in Colorado.

As a bonus Clint upgraded my converter to the 5-Star unit which they had just finished developing and testing. Yes, I had a problem and yes, ATS stood behind their warranty. I was pleased and the trans has been fine ever since.

I have since retired, so the truck doesn't see that many miles anymore, but I do romp on it a bit, (high boost burnouts and all - it does fine). I have changed the fluid per ATS recommendations and the filter, fluid and pan bottom always look great.

They stood behind their products for me. I'm happy. :)

iv got a ats in my 99 and love it. had to 1st and reverse band burn up do to my own stupidity. (tug of war with a big tree stump, the tree won, beer was involved) and they replaced the trany for free all i had to pay was shipping, they even pay the labor for something that was my falt not theres. if i had to get a new trany again i will go with ats. A++ cust serv

I have had mine for well over 4 years now. No problems. It's nice to know I have a strong trany unit that will stand up to the cummins power. If your going to upgrade your engine for more HP then the ATS should be done first.

Mike at HotRodDiesels includes all labor and all warranty labor in his price! And is a far sight cheaper than the big three. Guess who's building the transmission for my mega cab? :D

Had my trans upgraded with ATS 5-Star and VB along with the Co-Pilot and pan and have had no problems with unit whatsoever. ... . except maybe the price,ATS has the highest pricing of all aftermarket transmission builds. When I was looking for built transmission's,I assumed that the highest price was the best. I have friends that have abused other brands with no trouble out of theirs either.

Based on what the forums frequently say here,Dave Goerend seems to be a very good builder and stands behind his product. I have read that some have had difficulty with ATS from time to time..... NOT ME... . but you never read any negative about Dave.

And now with Clint Cannon in the spotlight with the EPA... . well,I guess we'll have to see what surfaces from that!!!!
