thats a sweet gain just by doing timing. hope I see a little gain also, I plan on taking the timing to 18 because soon I will have race plate, 370's and twins and only want to do timing once. by the way how do you like your suncoast.

suncoast is awsome

i absolutely love my suncoast triple disc. lockup is insane, comes on very hard, almost hard enough to break stuff. i had my vb redone and the transmission shifts extremly well, very frim shifts. off the line the converter is not too tight and produces very good acceleration. ill give ya a ride on the 9th and let you feel it for yourself.

how long does it usually take to do timing per truck

travis, from what was explained to me, for the timing to stick you have to let the truck sit so that all the oil will drain into the pan. . dont quote me...

be honest i dont know. i figure if we have multiple trucks that want timing done that we can work on all of them at once and find tdc on the trucks while one is using the gauge to set the timing. so well basically be sharing whatever tools we have and each truck will be at a different stage while doing the timing procedure. clear as mud?

That sucks, I just e-mailed Scott, asking for a price to do just that before adding any more power. I'm doing it as preventive maint. I'm at 150 k, so its only a matter of time before it blows.

Hey Chris, don't feel too bad,my headgasket on my '95 truck has been leaking since early spring and i'm still runnin' it! Hopefully it holds out till this coming spring when I do some work on it. At least I have another truck to drive instead of a Saturn :{ :-laf :-laf... ... ... ... ... John

ok guys ive started a small list of what we need to make this event happen. as ive said earlier ive got the tools that we need to work on the trucks, plus ill have 2 timing kits for us to use. this is what we need as of now and the list will grow as time draws closer,

• sodas(variety would be nice)

• chips(again variety)

• plates, cups, untensills

• if you have a favortie dish that you would like to prepare and bring to share that would be apreciated

i think the general theme food wise will be burgers and dogs, possibly some chicken, chips, soda, and whatever dishes/casseroles are brought to share. if you have some other ideas for lunch, please post them and ill try to include that for our luch at the party. thanks.

travis - im planning on about 20 maybe 30 people showing up for this party. as far as things to bring, if you got a favorite dish that you'd like to bring thats fine, well need some untensils, plates, cups, sodas, chips. well have burgers and dogs we can cook plus whatever dishes are brought to the party. im lookin to get things started around 8-9 o'clock in the mornin for guys who want to work on thier trucks, and you can show up anytime during the day.

chris - yea bring some cowboy food! i know id like some. ive got directions posted on page one of this thread, they are pretty detailed, but let me know if you need something more than that. oh sry your truck wont be ready in time for the party, but you know when you always wait for something good, youll be rewarded in the end. hope to see everyone there
