July Gateway Chapter and GODA summer BBQ

MN TDR July 10th

I will be meeting my Mom and Bro on the 18th in CheyenneOo. So thats makes things easier since ya'll are starting on that day, I was kinda wondering what we were gonna do until Sat to meet up with ya'll. So cool I will see ya'll FRIDAYOo. Oo. :D

The Fri. night BarBee sounds good. Maybe I should bring a couple mules to get Kevin back to his crib after a night of indulging!

I'll pedal as fast as I can.

Now let's see.

Was leaving Auburn Alabama @2:00 am Friday morn. Could move it back to Thursday at 6:00pm. It takes 26 hours driving time(mapquest) I'll make it in 22 hours. It will be tough but I might make it.

'DOH

I just read through my directions. My house is the second on the RIGHT not left, right? Correct.   There aren't any homes on Packard on the left for at least 1/2 a mile. So, anyway, I'm on the RIGHT. Just toot your stacks or blow yer horn and we'll flag ya in from there. :D Lisa told me this morning she was actually looking forward to our party weekend.

Cheers Kevin

 Sorry my pm box was full. Kinda like diapers, the package says 10-12 pounds. They're not kiddin' that's all them things will hold!:p

Anyhow, try again, it's cleared out now. Later, Tim

Ok guys and gals, Friday nite I have a special appatizer before BBQ, it will be sooooooooo good and it goes well with beer too, all this will make the BBQ better yet, All I need is Tims grill, I will have the appatizers when I get there ready to grill.

Tim, what time would be a good time for BBQ on Friday night? Maybe 7 pm to give folks a chance to roll in?

Cheers, Kevin

7 pm sounds good. I've got a basic gas grill. I'll get the tanks filled so we can burn all the meat we want. I thought we'd get basics like brats, burgers and chicken. Any other "specialties" sounds good too!

Anytime Fri or Sat folks wanna role in is cool with me. Sounds like Skydiver is coming all the way from Alabamer to join the festivities.

I'm getting a terrible itch to call Piers and order some goodies. :D Maybe you all could help me put them on??

Need anything

from Texas?

I plan to be there on Friday. If there are any special requests for stuff to be hauled there from here let me know. Might go to NE first, haven't worked it all out yet.

Karen

appetizer!

If 4 or more will help me eat um I can have fresh oysters from the gulf. I have heard that Texas oysters are bigger and better.

About $23 a bushel from Alabama.

I will bring some if y'all can't get any in Wy.

I prefer to buy them in Wy.

And they will be on ICE.

Let me know!

Tim

Wait a minute, we have fresh oysters in Wyoming. The rocky mountain kind that is. :D I say if it tastes like chicken, why not just have chicken? Anyway, am I reading that we'll have a diesel gal at our shindig? Coming all the way from Texas? Not Guilty, if you want directions, pm me. Later, Tim

Mountain oysters, huh. I've harvested a-many of those. They stick real well when thrown against bare human skin!!! Don't suppose y'all want to hear the details.

Seeing how my son (McLain) wants to have his CTD there and it is in Ainsworth, NE with his little brother, I plan to make a run to trade my 99 to the youngest so he can give the 97 back. So looks like the 3 of us will have a family reunion in Cheyenne!Oo.

Of course, I am assuming my Dodge will be road worthy by then. If not, guess Marshall is stuck with his S-10.

Karen

More than 1 diesel gal.

So the rest will know. My wife was born in Cheyenne about 47 years ago and left when she was 3. Has not been back since. I've been hinting around about moving out west and she thinks its OK. This is kinda her trip.

The diesel gal(Not Guilty)(?) coming from Texas can keep my wife occupied.

Say No to Mountain oysters.

But seriously do y'all have the salt water version?

Tim

There will be woman running a muk around here, so bring yer spousal units. There will be plenty of hanger squeeking to do at CFD as well as shops around town. This is our big week of the year so they stock up. No we don't have much along the lines of saltwater oysters on hand. Sea food to us folks is going to Red Lobster for dinner.

YOU SICK PEOPLE MADE ME DO IT

I just got off the horn with Al at PDR.

I ordered guages, pod, 3k gsk, #11 plate, and afc spring kit.

It's all your fault! At least that's what I'm going to tell Lisa when she gets the bill:rolleyes:

I may have to stay out in the fiver with ya Kev.

tpc- is the meeting at your place on the weekend or at fontier days?- don't know anything about it:confused: anyways, it looks like i'll be going at least on saturday with a friend from the DTR that i met. there's two more thay may be able to go... dunno for sure yet.

Wow things are starting to cook real good for this event :) I am so glad that folks are responding and wanting a get together.

I think since Tim has granted us some land to live on for the weekend that we dedicate some time towards helping him get all his new parts installed, I am a 24v guy so alot of this would be new to me but I want to learn too. I can help out on the gauges if needed. I bet Tim will be so excited about his purchase that he will have all the work done before we get there, I know Sunday afternoon when we got home from camping I spotted my new 2. 5 lift and shocks and DT control arms that the UPS guy musta delivered on Friday so I was up till midnight putting them on, man the truck handles much much better and looks sweet too.

Any news on a possible dyno in Cheyenne? Tim take a ride down to the local CAT shop and talk to a guy named Rob, he is family to my daughters new hubby and he has a big dyno for semi truchs that would do the job we need, the price is normally 140 per hour so we need to get a deal on a bunch of trucks, he told me he would talk to the boss and try to get us a cut rate, I told him prolly about 12 trucks would dyno if the price was right?

Lets see a tally on who wants to dyno ... ... ... ... ... ... . count me in

Cheers, Kevin
