But you can have the dealer turn on the daytime running light feature correct? They asked me if I wanted it on my 06 when I had them enable the high idle controlled by the cruise controle

Daytime driving lights are available. The dealer has to activate it with the Star Scan. Some dealers charge for doing it and some don't. I was not charged for them to activate mine.

We've had the day time running lights turned on, on all our trucks... what I don't care for is that this system is based on the Canadian laws and only the head lights come on... . I wish it was the complete system with clearance lights as well.....

We've trained ourselves to just turn them on when we start the truck... . manually...

My Jeep has all this done automatically... one click of the switch sets the lights for auto, and another switch sets the wipers for the same function... it goes from clearance lights, to head lights, to high beams as needed... the same with the wipers... they turn on when the windshield is wet, and go faster the more water there is. . and shut down when the rain stops...

Also, with the daytime running lights you're getting a reduced voltage to only the HIGH beam.

I'm guessing with them on all the time the high beam might blow but you'll still have your normal low beams for driving at night.

I know I can change the daytime running lights, fogs on with high beams, etc etc with my Triple Dog, I think Smarty will do some too?
