Yes, I know that when lockup occurs is determined by the PCM UNLESS you have something to change that signal... like the ATS controller I have. Over a set speed the converter will stay locked up no matter what you do. It's one of the key features of the ATS setup. If you'll notice in my post i said "my transmission" (including TC, VB, full trans and controller) when referring to its lockup capabilities, not just the TC.
 
On my smart controller you can have it stay locked from 15 mph and up in 2nd,or 28 mph and up in 3rd,if you want this. The 2-3 shift is very harsh locked up if your under 1/2 throttle,above that it isnt bad ,but cant be any good for the trans. I have mine set to lock at 31 mph in 3rd,and shift to od at 49-50 mph. It does this locked unless you have the tc saver feature adjusted to kick on,then it will unlock. dlange,is the 7000 us or canadian dollars?Im sure whatever they quoted you was the full treatment,Pm me with the details if you have time. I don't know who you talked with here at DTT, but if there was pricing involved it should have been me. & 7 grand is very high, the most expensive trans that we have is under $5 000 and that includes a billet output shaft, billet input shaft & hub along with every other thinkable mod that we have. The only thing that we had that would be close in price that 7 grand would have been the "hurricane" trans, and as far as I know it will not be sold.

About two weeks ago, I went to BC, to DTT. They did the install. Unless I misunderstood what I have, with the possible exception of the billet output shaft, I believe I have it all, including billet input shaft & hub. This includes transmission lines.

I paid less than $5000 (US).

the price that you shot, is exactly the price that i was thinking before i called. I dont remember who the person was that i talked to. I just called and asked for tech advise and pricing. Who the person was i dont remember. What, in your opinion would i need to run 500 horse, and still have a reliable transmission. P. S I am using all DTT parts.
