bringing back the dead
ok my question now is about the clutch hydraulics
i have got
1st gen hydraulics
late second gen hydraulics
pre first gen pedals (1976 ish)
first gen pedals (1992)
2000 nv4500 with a late second gen bell housing adaptor and the bell housing itself
now the body i am using is a 1979 Trailduster, the pedals from the 92 will fit but the problem is that the pivot point or cross shaft is lower in the first gens then the old trucks. that makes the first gen pedals too high off the floor by about 2 inchs.
so b/c of this i want to use the 76 pedals its easy enough now that i have an idea of what mount for the hydraulics looks like to duplicate it on the 76 pedals
all of this brings me to my question ..... the first gen and the second gen hydraulics are different why do i see guys that do the nv4500 swap try and mix match the parts of the hydraulics ? why not just use the second gen ones all together
